How is Transworld Internet & TV in Lahore?

Transworld have started laying fiber cables in my area of DHA Lahore and I should be able to get FTTH in 2-3 months. However, there are mixed reviews out there, so wanted to get an idea if there is a silent majority with good experience of TWS?

So far, I've read that they route all connections through Carrier grade NAT, and I can get a static IP to bypass that. Any other quirks?

How is their TV service? is it full HD i.e. 1080p?

I've been using Transworld since October 2018 and overall I've been quite satisfied with their QoS & support. The TV channels list is good, with a good chunk of HD channels, however be informed that these are "720p" only, and not FullHD. Also, because it uses IPTV, there's a slight delay while switching channels. Other than that, it has been a smooth sailing.

I'm in Phase 8, but the contractor said TWS got contract of entire DHA, so they will be doing all Phases - not sure when Phase 6 will get work done.

PTCL doesn't offer GPON in Phase-8, not even vdsl. Best to check with your exchange.

Which sports channels do they have?
And do they have Premier League coverage?
I just saw them laying lines outside my house in Phase 7. I spoke to one of the guys and he said they should have it up and running in about a month in DHA Phase 7. Have to admit I'm pretty excited, been playing Warzone on Zong 4G since April.

Sports coverage is a bit meh to be honest. Don't think they're covering premier league, you're better off checking out the sports coverage at their customer care center in Phase 5.

How does their TV service work. Does the Coaxial cable connect directly with the modem and I have to wire it to the TV or is there a separate tv settop box that is installed close to TV, and it gets data over Wifi/ethernet?

Sorry for digging up this post. They just started laying wires in DHA phase 8 Ex Air Avenue. They said they should be up and running in a month. Did they activate the service for you in a month like they mentioned? I am done using jazz 4g

No, they are running behind schedule in Phase 8. Latest timeline is that they are aiming to start providing connections before the start of Ramadan.

Just wanted to update everyone transworld has the option of phase 8 on their website now you can place an order from there.

It's on the website, but they will start giving out connection in 1-2 weeks. They've spliced up fibers in main distribution boxes, now need to setup the connection in smaller/blue studs.

People who have TWS connection, is the latency to US better than PTCL?
