Well, at least Necrokiller has come to terms with the idea that games can't always be scaled down to previous gen hardware, but they can certainly be scaled up to newer gen hardware with "extra detail".

Then again, who am I kidding? Apparently, Ratchet & Clank: A Rift Apart has PS2 era gameplay

They can be scaled down. But I don't expect someone who deals in either extremes to comprehend that. As far as CerebralTiger is concerned, all games must either be scalable or not.

Horizon Forbidden West game director Mathijs de Jonge has explained that developing this new game for both PS4 and PS5 was "not limiting in any way."

"When we started with the concept of this game, we had so many great ideas that ended up being included - to the point that we didn't really think about hardware limitations or anything, we just wanted to design a really nice, unique experience for the player. An awesome adventure. That's how we also brainstormed all the quests and events the player is going to go through."
