He says gliding was one of the first mechanics they did for Zero Dawn but had to be cut due to technical reasons. The game is still coming to PS4 and it seems to have made the cut now. If this was PS5 only, people would spin that by saying gliding could only be done on PS5
I'd imagine Decima's asset streaming tech has improved since then, even on last-gen hardware, and they're able to pull off paragliding now.
The State of Play demo showed no signs of free climbing, though. The climbable portion of the pillars here are clearly highlighted, as is the case in many other games.

^ All the trees are climbable in your gif, they get highlighted after Aloy uses her focus device (detective vision if you will).
In the original game you could only climb very specifically yellow tagged walls.
It's pretty much free climbing compared to what was in the first game.

What's the issue here though? Looks like they actually have a ledge grabbing mechanic now that they previous game didn't (outside of yellow markers).The State of Play demo showed no signs of free climbing, though. Chalo if it was developed as a PS4 game primarily, that version of the game won't be gimped.

I dont think games have looked any better since 2019 onwards and they are performing worse and worse. Game developers have really dropped the ball.
