Help required with domain, hosting

So guys i am new to all this stuff. i have zero programming.
i have started a course on IDM pakistan for digital marketing and in this regard as a project we will making an ecommerce website as well.
Ok, so i already bought a domain 1 year back with hosting from websouls. its a business hosting plain to my knowledge of approx PKR 4700 per year. I bought this domain to start some work and i am currently working on it to make a good website. the domain i bought was MRH Traders – Industrial Equipments Supplier. The websouls package have C panel and i have installed wordpress and learning to make a website.

Now the issue is i need another domain for working on the ecommerce project as part of the course. So my question is. Do i need to buy this websouls package again??? of 4700 per year for another domain?
I saw on godaddy that they are selling 1st domain for PKR 99 only. So does this domain come with c panel stuff also? or its just the domain only?
There is option in C panel for addon domains. i tried creating a new one there but it did not help. so do i need to register a new domain and then add it to my existing C panel?

yes you can buy a domain from godaddy but it doesn't come with cpanel, register your domain in godaddy and add it to your existing cpanel through addon domains by doing this you can host 2 domains from one cpanel

yes you can buy a domain from godaddy but it doesn't come with cpanel, register your domain in godaddy and add it to your existing cpanel through addon domains by doing this you can host 2 domains from one cpanel

Now when i visit my existing C panel with already registered domain which i have bought from websouls (pakistani company) as mentioned already.
When i visit addon domain in C panel it gives following error

Please transfer the domain to this servers nameservers or have your administrator add one of its nameservers to /etc/ips.remotedns and make the proper A entries on that remote nameserver

Any suggestions to resolve this?

change the nameservers over to your hosting provider's. your host should have emailed you their nameservers when you signed up. if they didn't ask them for that info now. then you just change the nameservers in godaddy as per this guide. after you do this you have to wait 72 hours for dns changes to propagate.

Thanks bro, the error was as you told me so.. i contacted helpline of websouls and they told me the same thing to change the nameservers of godaddy domain. which i did and as soon as i saved i was able to add it to my addon domain in my existing cpanel.

One other tip for you. Godaddy sells domain for cheap first year but when it's time for renewal they charge more than other registrars. So I suggest transferring your domain to namesilo in about 3 months time. If you do that your domain will be renewed for another year automatically at a cheaper price ($9 vs. $15 at godaddy). Obviously this only matters if you intend to keep the domain after you're done with your course.

BTW why didn't you simply create a subdomain at your other domain instead of buying a new domain? For example shop.example.com. Subdomains are free.

Thanks for the info. Yes you are right. i found it later that godaddy starts low but charges higher later onwards. I do intend to keep the new domain so can you tell me in detail how and when to transfer it?

Secondly, i did know about subdomains but i didnt want that as my existing one was entirely different and i wanted to start a online silver jewelry store (part of project) so i needed a catchy domain which would resonate with items i am selling.

You should wait 60 days before you transfer out. You won't be allowed to transfer out before then. This is an ICANN rule.

Here's a guide about how to transfer out: Access Denied . I suggest moving it to namesilo, internet.bs or dynadot because these 3 are the cheapest. You will get one year added to the expiry date when you transfer out.

Hopefully you don't have a hard time to get the domain off the hoster.
Buying a domain over a hoster is a bad mistake, one could say mid level mistake.
In my case I needed about 6 weeks to get it off the hoster.
