Allocation is utilization in peak scenarios. Yeh tou understood baat hai. It's like arguing someone doesn't know a console running a game capped at 60fps is only capable of rendering 60 fps internally at all instances 🤣

Dynamic res hai, tabhi '+' ka sign lagaya hai 1800p ke saath. PC pe bhi dynamic res recommend kia hai Alex ne 🤣

Imagine translating that it looks good in quality mode means that the game does not heavily rely on it (which was the whole point wrt reduced rendering load and VRAM).

No need to translate jab nazar aa raha hai. When you've gotta zoooom-in to see the difference, it's pretty good indeed 🤣

The whole point of VRS is to gain performance with nip-tucks like this that won't be visible normally. So, I'd say its doing the job fine here.

4K/60 or ~1440P 120hz for an open world-ish game is pretty ambitious. Wonder if they have any overhead to add some RT in the Quality mode with a bit more aggressive DRS.

Depending on what RT feature they add, I think they should be able to add a mode that runs at performance mode settings @ 60fps on the Series X.

VRS isn't magically going to make 8gb of VRAM sufficient for 4k (or even 1800p) with Ultra textures. Can't imagine the utter disappointment that'll kick in if VRS is added to the PC version 🤣

Possible VRS side effect.

Haven't seen any good implementation of VRS yet. It degrades image quality and the finer details too much for my liking. Good for lower end systems though. Specifically in Infinite, it looks worse with their TAA implementation.

Also, One X quality mode actually seems to have better foliage draw distance than Series X Quality mode.

This game just straight up does not look modern in any sense. It looks like how halo 4 looks in my memory. These graphics would be high end in early ps4 era

Not sure where those screens are from but that's not the case going by the only One X and SX comparison. DF haven't done their video yet:

- Less polygonal load in One, especially on the ground. One X also has some cutbacks to the geometry over the Series S/X and PC .

- The amount of vegetation is higher on Xbox Series S/X and PC.

Or it might be a comparison between Series S, or the 120hz mode on SX:
- The draw distance is slightly higher on PC. Series S and One X use a similar configuration, although in some elements it is superior in One X (trees) and in others (rocks on the ground) it is superior in Series S.

- Series X reduces your draw distance, render resolution, shadows, reflections, and terrain quality in FPS mode.

Keep in mind this is a game designed around the 2013 Xbox One, and it even has a 60 FPS mode on One X, meaning it was created with the old configurations in mind.

That's why you're getting 4K/60 or 120hz modes on modern hardware. If it was a game designed exclusively around Series hardware, that wouldn't be the case.

They’re from DF article and you can see more foliage in the distance on One X than Series X.
