Had a terrible experience with bytes.pk on used mobile Not recommend at all!!!

AOA all pg member i bought a note 3 from bytes.pk on 4th dec sale, It was expected to deliver after 16th dec and i received it on 20th of dec, few things which i have noticed upon receiving the phone.

1.Screen has lot of dust particles looks like repaired and a bad one.
2. Black pen with white phone
3. Pen was not going inside easily
4. Imei was different from the back of the phone.
5.Imei info web search is showing that, this phone is Galaxy S4 not Note 3


Thephonewhichi have purchased is A stock and they have clearly mentioned on their website "This is a used device which has carefully been tested by the bytes.pk team to ensure that it adheres to our highest quality standards. The device has never been repaired or tampered with. The previous owner loved the phone and is looking for someone who can love the phone equally."

I called them and they send the return label andsaidwewillfixed the issue, next day leopard courier picked up the phone from my place and took almost 7 days to deliver(in meantime i have made to many calls to leopard and bytes but no response from bytes as such to ask there courier partner to deliver it on time)

Now they received the phone on 4th ofdecafterfewdayi have called them they said " Don't call us before 10 days we can update you the status of your phone. After so many calls today they delivered me the phone which has even more issued than the previous one.

1. The phone has black smart cover, no original white back cover
2. The screen from the top is lifted up there is an obvious gap between the glass and aluminium borders.
3. Still some dust particle butvery less onlyvisibleonblack background.

Nowi called them again they said, they well send me the return label and courier guy will pick it up.

My verdict: Never ever buy used from them, PGmarketplaceisgreat place to buy it.
Allthephoneswhichis either A stock or B stock i think they replace their casing to make the conditon better.
Tempered IMEInumberwhatthatmeans ? Stolen phones ? Should I report it to PTA ?

Nowi need help from you guys to report this to Cyber crime, if anyone can help me out in such scenario i will be very great full thanks. I have all the proves emails, receipts, courier tracking numbers, call records.

This cannot be covered in cyber crime. As they will refund you the money and will shut u up. Simple.

Well they are the ones that will solve your issue. Talk to them about your reservation.

Email PTA to find out about the IMEI to see if its not used on another phone.

Btw why didn't you ask for a refund instead of replacement?

They don't let you open the box before payment. So all you can do is pay the courier guy and open it and checked it. And they don't have any policy of store pick too.

I have talked to them they said we will again checked your phone and send it back, they are not returning the amount neither they are giving store credit of the same amount. So all i can do is wait, or raised complaint against them. I have seen some people have complaint in cyber crime regarding black friday and there issue being resolved too.

They simply refused to replaced or refund it, well i have compared the s pen of my friends note 3 along with mine. Issue of the pen was because casing was not fit properly. Not that issue resolved.

I have seen comments like these on there facebook page can't say anything if those were authentic or not. They have move to zamama 19c 4th Street

Well we are talking about bytes pk and I have also seen alot of ppl complaining about their Dishonored product selling strategies. Its filled with negativity and their owner has been thrashed with replies from customers that were never satisfied.

As for the above site, to my knowledge I never seen anything against them or not to my knowledge.

Mr auragzeb in Cyber unit deals with such issues. To my knowledge they don't deal with such cases unless they have intel.

Secondly, your complaint will be like those disgruntled ones which might get a compensation even if you complain for help at cyber crime. You were not scammed. Just provided with an unjust item which can be negotiated in terms of you and seller.
Cyber crime will not be bothered in it. Just a fair advise.

No they haven't replaced the unit they just repaired and took 20 days for it. And what do you mean by that your phone doesn't posses any imei number ? :S

Check IMEI - IMEI.info just go this website enter your imei it will tell you which model you are using.

In simple words, we don't have anything like consumer protection for any sale (physical or online ). Don't we see or hear that ppl bring in their own crowd to beat the shit out of someone.

I remember it clearly and witnessed it in sadder karachi, one person (customer) was sold a unjust mobile phone. He called 2 policeman standing in duty there.
They had a deep shit arguement where the shop keeper said it loudly with vulgur words to do what ever he could do.

Next on the list I see some shopkeeper gearing up with union association and discussing the strategy of how to deal with the customer i.e by beating him up in the office or inside the shop.

What I am trying to say here, it's a cell phone and the bad experience you had was enough to let you justify not to deal with them again.

No one will protect you over a cellphone. If you want to add in trouble, contact the authorities and wait till you are served justice when your grandchildren are married.

I know owners profile on fb. If he is really concerned about his business, he might be able to amend your loss. Try that.

Involving yourself in cybercrim etc methods will be subjected to a official bond signing. If you undertaken that, law will come in act and you have no idea (sarcastic) how good you will come when you will be called for testifying every second day for a cell phone.

In the end court will say. Loo apnay paisay and ayenda nahe lena online

It will be greatfull if you can share the owner facebook profile, he might be more interested in resolving the issues as compared to there customer support staffs.

and one more thing regarding the Imei issue should i bring this into the notice of PTA ? if yes than how ?

Wise decision, pg market place is good place to buy even the Premium member as you will know what are you getting at least from the pic, while buying from the bytes is pure bluff. The phone which i have received is like others 9/10 so i think all they are doing is casing replacement.
