[GUIDE] Call of Duty 4: Moden Warfare "All Multiplayer Related Questions/Queries"

Okay people. There has been a mess of threads about Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare problems and especially regarding its Multiplayer.
Here is a simple guide for you in which almost all your questions about COD4 Multiplayer is been answered. If there is still any sort of confusion, feel free to ask here. But avoid making separate threads.

1. Download either the Ripped version or the Reloaded version of the game. Reloaded version is preferred.
2. Download the Patch 1.6 and Patch 1.6-1.7 from GamersHell.
3. Install the game. Then
4. First install the Patch 1.6 and THEN install the Patch 1.6-1.7
5. Now, your game is patched to the Latest version i.e. 1.7 and you are ready to play Online. You just need a Crack for the relative version of the game (1.7) to play Single Player Mode from GameCopyWorld. [Google it - I am unable to provide any links because of the Warez restrictions of the forum. But you can find it easily.]
   However its obvious that you cannot play the game Online on its Official Servers because of the Pirated copy of the game. For this purpose, there are Cracked servers from all over the world.
6. Before starting the game, you need to Update your PunkBuster to avoid getting kicked out of the server. Use pbsetup.exe.
   Download it from www.evenbalance.com, the Official PunkBuster site.
   But just for your ease, i am upload the files on a 3rd party site, HERE.
   - Run pbsetup
   - Select "Add Game"
   - Select Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare from the dropdown menu.
   - If the game is a Fresh INSTALL via a DVD source, then the game path Should automatically be selected by clicking on the desired game i.e. COD4 ... But if its not showing you the correct path, then Hit the "Browse" button and choose the right path for the game.
   - Click on "Check for Updates" and the PunkBuster will automatically be updated in a few seconds.
   
7. Start the game, Make a New Profile and Set the Display, Controls and Audio settings according to your needs.
   You can also check the Game Version at the bottom of the main screen for confirmation.
   
8. Select Options > Game Options > Enable Console = YES
   
9. Then Options > Multiplayer Options > Enter Player Name = Your Desired Name
   
10. Options > Multiplayer Options > Enter Keycode
    
    The Razor1911 Keygen which comes inside the Reloaded DVD or probably with the ripped version will provide you assistance. This is the important part for Online Gameplay. If you dont have the keygen you can simple search for any torrent of COD4 Razor1911 Keygen.
11. Now you can either use the "~" button and enter the Server address to join the game OR you can use the Join Game > Favorites Option from Main Scree.

Now
All you need is a list of All the COD4 Cracked Servers which surely will include servers from All over the world. But with International Servers, you will get a Lot of Latency (Ping) Issues making it almost impossible for a Smooth Gameplay. So I will only list the Pakistani Servers here assuring the Smooth and Quality Gameplay.

Here are the Servers currently running in Pakistan and you can add them in your Favorites with the above mentioned method.

I am also uploading the List of all the Cracked Servers as a .txt file for those who still are curious to play on International Servers irrespective of High Pings, HERE.


IF you get any sort of trouble while playing the game online e.g PB kicking you with some kind of Error, Try Reinstalling the PunkBuster with pbsvc.exe which you can download from www.evenbalance.com But again, for your ease, i am uploading to file for you guyz, HERE.

QTracker

A program which can be used to watch Cracked Servers without going in the game .... And making the server joining Easy than ever. A beautiful program for Online Gaming

1. Download and Install
2. Run the Program
3. On the Left Panel, Top, Right Click on the All Servers and Click on "Add Game"
   
4. A box will appear as shown in the following picture.
   
5. Select COD4 from the list and choose the Path for it (The Directory where the game is installed). Be sure to select the iw3mp.exe which execute the Multiplayer Game.
6. Now you have your Game listed on the Left Side of the Main Screen of Qtracker.
   You can make a New folder If you like, to Separate the International or Pakistani Servers, As I did which you can see in the screenshot below.
   
7. Now you can simply Copy/Paste any server address you like and can Classify them with respect to the Nation. For instance, the .txt file I've provide you above ... "Select All" (Ctrl + A) the servers in that .txt file and just Copy/Paste all of 'em Here inside the program and it will show you the servers.
   Same goes for the Pakistani Servers listed above. Just copy the Address and Paste them inside the Program.
8. As i said, Server joining is very very easy. Any server you see with better Latencies (pings), Right Click on it > Connect > Now

I again prefer the Pakistani Servers for Smooth Gameplay. And anyserver with Less than 100ms Pings. However 100-150ms Pings will also work fine. But lower, the better.

I personally prefer this program over any Garena or Xfire because this just works beautiful and simplify the purpose

ALL MBL SERVERS ARE DOWN FOR GOOD. APPARENT REASON(S) IS/ARE SOME POLITICS BETWEEN MBL ADMINS. BOTTOM LINE IS THEY ARE DOWN, AND NOW YOU HAVE PGS SERVERS, MUCH BETTER ... I THINK .​

PGS have THREE servers in Total running at the moment , One is ProMod SND Match Server 2nd one is ProMod SND Public Server, 3rd is TDM Hardcore Server.​

NOTE:

• Nova Crew Server is strictly for Snipers, although server is located outside Pakistan so expect some Heavy Latency issues. I dont get less than 200 pings on it which makes gameplay much laggy and difficult, but it still is much fun.
• Wateen almost got its Ping Issue resolved, but its still a pain in the arse for MOST of the PTCL users. Pings mostly remain below 150 so gameplay is still fun.

Open the Website.
Go to "Downloads" > Software > Qtracker

And you are good to go.

Dont click on "Try it" or "Buy it" from the main screen. Its actually not a Trial Version but a FreeWare.
And you dont have to buy the Program. The usual download will do the trick for you

dont download the ripped version. As far as i know Reloaded version is the same iso as the orgiinl one and just has the crack in it. Most of the ripped versions differ from the server files. It will create many problems for you.

How can i forget this issue. Well its nice that you've mentioned here. Which, unfortunately, is true.
So Better download the Reloaded version instead of getting a ripped one.

Have you installed the Patch 1.6 and then 1.7?
And dont tell me that you've installed a Ripped version of the game. or have you?

And post a screenshot of your files/folders inside the Mods Folder.

I'm having some problems with Punkbuster. I installed the game through a Dvd but didnot install punkbuster from it and downloaded it from ur link. But it doesnt seem to recongise the game or something. :S

This is not a "PROBLEM" of PunkBuster
Its the "JOB" of PunkBuster

Just change your CD-Key one again by using the Razor 1911 Keygen, and Join a Server after it. Dont play Yet, just join, Leave and Restart your computer. This will save your CD-Key. If you dont restart or dont join any server after writing the key, you may have to enter it again IF there is any sort of Power Failure happens...

And be sure to update the PunkBuster by using the pbsetup.exe

Yaar ripped versions have some problems. They have modified .iwd files in it. So if you are willing to play it online, you should download a Reloaded version. Because you still have to download all those .iwd files which is a real pain in the arse.
If you wont, you will face the error ".iwd files differ from the server and will be kicked out instantly from the server you are playing at.
