I am really enjoying the game. The combat feels more responsive, I am ready to eat my words when DF does an analysis and say its actually less responsive during their testsAur kuch mila nhi Reddit chalay gaye
Just CT things ..
However, there are certain *new* combat aspects in this one that I do not like e.g, it almost feels like a Ninja Theory made game combat-wise at times!
Overall, it is still GOW!
bhai spoiler ke pehlay likh tou do what the spoiler is about Like *location name description*Spoiler: showMAN, Wattay disappointment to finally see "Ass-Gard" lol, I was expectin' something on a epic level like in the movies, lekin it is just another location in the game with wooden structures & MUD! lol.
WTF!
Yes it feels more responsive than the first game.I am really enjoying the game. The combat feels more responsive, I am ready to eat my words when DF does an analysis and say its actually less responsive during their tests
the enemy variation, the environments everthing is top notch.
One thing which is annoying is : all NPC companions are ready to offer solutions so fast...they dont wait for you to figure out environmental puzzle
Location based hay, my anticipation Vs what I saw!! =/bhai spoiler ke pehlay likh tou do what the spoiler is about Like *location name description*

Nahi, nahi - I mean dialogue. Atreus, head,...others..will instantly yell out answersYes it feels more responsive than the first game.
As for the puzzle hints you can turn them off in accessibility settings!
Environments theek hay lekin combat-wise, "color-matching" the inputs ala Ninja theory games gets tedious. Don't limit the player.
Baqi sab set hay.
This is not good news for me as i left gow 2018 close to the end and youtubed the rest because of pacing issuesGreat game so far but not as good as the 2018. The pacing is very bad in some places. Some segments drag on way too long, it's the same problem Last of Us 2 had. In order to make a "bigger" sequel, they've needlessly stretched a lot of it.
I think the side missions I have been doing are exceptional, and as I am fully following along on side mission path that the main mission path feels a bit stretched, also the distances and realms are quite realized this time around instead of more like a straight line.Great game so far but not as good as the 2018. You are in for many surprises. The game has really stepped up now. The meaty bits areI agree with you @NaNoW, this definitely feels more responsive than the first one.
I think I'm around 10 hours in the game and just entered Ironwoods. Man, the locales in this game are absolutely breathtaking. The 2 side quests that i did were absolutely phenomenal.
For me, given the initial impressions, this is definitely a step up from the first one. And given how good the first game was, its unbelievable how they managed to 1-up it.
If there is an active mission left or someone gives a new side quest, I don't leave the realm until completing it.I think the side missions I have been doing are exceptional, and as I am fully following along on side mission path that the main mission path feels a bit stretched, also the distances and realms are quite realized this time around instead of more like a straight line.
Are you staying in a realm to complete some parts of side missions or leaving as soon as some character says "good to go?" type thing
Nah, each & every character fit their role perfectly! From Sindri to Tyr to Mimir, the Thor household drama all of it. Also, Atreus is believable, Kratos is an acewhole! He has always been like that BUT now you see him transform, their chemistry is amazing.Story-wise, Kratos is more likeable compared to the previous game (and obviously the ones before that lol). Odin remains the only interesting character so far, however. Atreus is unbearable in dialogue
Gameplay-wise, it's practically the same old boring slug-fest until...
Spoiler: show...I started playing as Atreus.
That's actually fun.
Spoiler: showThe quicker movement, melee for close-range, bow & arrow for long-range, and slo-mo options work well, and lead to some interesting possibilities during combat. Ingrid, the sword he gets later on, is also a neat addition to Atreus' arsenal. A shame that, despite making fun of his dad's inability to jump, Atreus isn't able to jump either lol. Verticality is severely limited as a result, much like in the previous game. There's a context-sensitive jump mechanic, and it can be converted to attacks, but it doesn't make up for the lack of a dedicated jump ability.
Regardless, Atreus is a lot better to control, and every time I have to return to playing as Kratos, the horror kicks
Combat encounters are, therefore, a mixed bag. Enemies often blindside slow-ass Kratos, as most of them are quicker than him. This wasn't usually the case in the 2018 game. It's almost as if...
Spoiler: showcombat encounters were primarily designed with Atreus in mind, and Kratos was more of an afterthought.
If the game wants the player to dislike playing as Kratos, it's working lol.
Also, hit reactions are tied to the stun stat, so a lot of your normal attacks don't provide much feedback, and enemies are often sponge-like.
how are you liking theNah, each & every character fit their role perfectly! From Sindri to Tyr to Mimir, the Thor household drama all of it. Also, Atreus is believable, Kratos is an acewhole! He has always been like that BUT now you see him transform, their chemistry is amazing.
Storywise Helheim spoiler ahead..
Spoiler: showThat Atreus hug scene man, seeing Kratos absolutely melting & later apologizing to him! Man, that was totally EPIC!
I also love Kratos open up about his past with the other characters, all the nods & mentions of the previous games from GOW 1 & chains of olympus etc. it feels so awesome just to slow down & pay attention to their chatter.
As for the combat, I like the juggle system, the status effects which you can put on the enemies (Frost to Burn & vice versa.) are nice & highly recommended but the weapon switchin' needs improvement to make the most of it!
there is. I believe its also in accessibility menu. Also, is there a quick 180 turn in this game? Haven't seen it so far.. it definitely needs it.
L1 + down on the d-pad by default. Can be changed to L3 + down on the left stick (not recommended, you'll end up doing it accidentally). I have it mapped to swipe up on the touch pad, which works better for me (relatively speaking).I remember there being a quick turn in the first game, forgot the input, I will check the settings.
