Ofcourse nothing is done about it during these years, thats why you hear about it. Kagawa was brought in, and more backup is required cuz Scholes is old, Carrick is ineffective, Cleverley is injury prone + inexperienced, Ando might get sold, remaining are makeshift. Such a squad cannot challenge for CL.

Also I want youngsters to become better, not warm the bench. Rio is amazing but his best years are behind him and its better to use him in big games only.

The team also needs a single lineup, not changing in each game. Vidic + Evans would work. But if Fergie changes the lineup in every single game, then it would be bad since partnership would not be made.

I did say that Anderson is a great player but plays 20 to 25 games a season because of injuries. Carrick was terrible at the start of the season but improved heavily at the end of the season. But I think that still doesn't cut it. Ando to be sold, Carrick to remain, one more big name midfielder hopefully to be seen since the squad is too thin now to play in all competitions.

carrick was ineffective shary?? what the fuck dude?? he was by far the best english midfielder last year.... look at his season stats.... phenomenal season for him...

anderson does play well when he's actually on the field.... but that's the problem.... you can't hold a potentially good player if he's playing 10-15 games a season... and the problem with him is that if he has even a slightly bad game, he's completely invisible.... too much of a risk

Carrick had an amazing pass completion rate but I will still say that he was ineffective. He played great after the winter break because he was under Scholes. Sadly his creativity cannot be compared to that of Modric or Kagawa. However he played great in the CL group stages. I want Carrick to stay. He offers something very different to what normal deep lying midfielders offer. His great close range passing and covering the defence helps the other playmaker to open defenses.

One of the reasons why I call him ineffective is that he is very immobile.

i still stand by that, but the fact remains, anderson WILL get injured and carrick will lose form, scholes wont be able to play every game and cleverly doesnt have the experience, and even with carrick in the form of his life we dont have creativity up front. with kagawa we now have a bare minimum of a midfield.

dont forget uniteds start to the season last time round before all the injuries and stuff kicked in...

p.s i still have faith in carrick. if kagawa lives up to his reputation between carrick and kagawa, giggs and scholes to provide depth to the squad we have a working midfield
