but virtua fighter? i've actually never played it. should pick up vf5 then i guess, it's pretty budget these days.

and seriously, samurai showdown was probably the most atmospheric, most attitude-y fighting game snk ever made. samurai showdown 2 is by favorite. come on snk, make a nex gen hd version of this game.

and yes, capcom vs.snk 3 is long overdue.

Yeah seeing Virtua Fighter at no.2 is quite a surprise for me as well. I have played the first part and I wasn't that much impressed to be honest. It isnt as fast as Tekken well at least for me.

Street Fighter all the way! (Specially SF III: Third Strike!)

And Virtua Fighter deservedly gets the no.2 spot! That game is one of the most skillful 3D fighters I have ever played! (Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution being the best of the bunch!) That game MAKES you learn the intricacies of whatever fighter you try to master! It aint flashy, it aint a button masher! Its one of the games where the learning curve is pretty good and the rewards you reap after mastering the game are HUGE!

it's too much of a button masher. it's fun, and i would have it somewhere in the bottom 5, but it's not top 5 material at all.
