The Nexus 5's support is ending with Android M (6.0), so you'll have to rely on developers to make stable ROMs for Android N and further versions.
It is also a generation older than the G3 (which is SD801, Nexus 5 is SD800).

The G3 comes in two models, Snapdragon 801 and Snapdragon 805.
The former is more common, you can get an American T-Mobile variant (D851) or an international version (D855).
The Snapdragon 805 variant is a Korean version, comes in F460L, F460S and F460K models.

It will definitely get further support, well at least the SD805 version. It will last longer than the Nexus 5 and is a whole year newer.

Does G3 reliable , as G2 doesn't prove to be good choice as it is manipulated in market.

And does T-mobile (D851) have 4g in it?

Although the chipset used in both Nexus 5 and G3 has a lot of similarities but there are some differences which can be positive or negative depending on usage. Phones with Snapdragon800 chipset e.g Nexus 5 as well as LG G2 will have 2GB RAM along with 1920x1080p screen resolution compared to 2560x1440 in G3 and slightly lower clock speed as well. For detailed comparison in specs you can view this link.

LG G3 vs. LG Nexus 5 - GSMArena.com

G3 camera also takes Photo and video recording at a higher resolution and if you are using stock or stock based roms than laser autofocus is a bit nice. Also no SD card slot in Nexus 5 and lower battery capacity as well but not too big of a difference coz G3's higher resolution screen drains more battery but it gets compensated with higher capacity. If you do play android games for extended sessions than G3 will get a bit hot and will start to throttle. But if you don't then higher resolution screen is more useful than snapdragon 800 variant phones.

About 4G you should avoid North American variant of Nexus 5 and Sprint, Verizon and TMobile variant of G3. What you need to be looking for is a phone that supports 4G Band 3 at 1800MHz if you want to use Zong or Warid 4G sim. D850 AT&T, European variant D855 and Korean with LTE-A are the G3 variants that support 4G in Pakistan.

So will it be a bad decision to go with the SD801 instead of the SD805 as far as support goes.

Manufacturer support = Go for the SD805. Koreans always create updates for their phones first and then the international variants.

Dev support (Custom ROMs) = SD801. Developers find it hard to get their hands on Korean devices, so they usually develop for the international models.

Whichever you prefer. ikonox can tell you about his experience. He switched from a Korean G3 to a SD801 G3 because he wanted custom ROM support.

QHD screen was an overkill for SD801, SD805 has plenty juice for QHD that G3 has. If I was you I would choose a korean G3 (cat 3) over any of the american variants.

well @ikonox did tell me that he found the SD801 version to be a little laggy and heats more when compared to the Cat 6 version. He also preferred to go with the Cat 6 version over the SD801 due to better build and hardware but he also warned about lack of support for the SD801 version.

I had an F460L cat6 before D851. It was a better experience in terms of performance. You ll definitely get system updates if you have stock Korean rom.
If you are custom-rom kind of guy, then you may have to wait for stable roms for F460x.
If you dont care about roms, then probably cat6 is best option.

My Antutu benchmark on d851 stock was around 31k (with other apps running) on stock rom. On cm13 it was 38k (with apps running).

However cat6 had given me 41-45k score (again with the apps running).

I suggest you check your priorities first.

Well if the stock rom on the Cat 6 doesn't lag and works great with day to day usage than i wont mind waiting for custom roms. The only reason i install a custom rom is when the stock rom is lagging or totally out-dated. Thank you and @murtaza12 for the great advises. I have come to the conclusion that the Cat 6 version might be better for me since it has better hardware and provides better experience in therms of performance then the SD801. If the only major difference between them other than the hardware is lack of support then i can live with it. Thanks to you and @murtaza12 my questions have been answered. i'll be going with the Cat 6 without any worries..^_^

Korean G3 Cat 6 will have names F460K or F460S or F460L. G3 with SD801 chipsets will have names like D851 D850 D855 etc. Like other Korean phones it should have a small retractable antenna on one of the sides.
