Love this engine, I imagine the one turn10 uses in thier Motorsports series isn't too different either

Imagine boasting about a racing game with limited world density 🤣

I mean, let's not forget, you can fly a plane across landscapes in a Battlefield game, but things didn't work out with the Frostbite engine and Anthem 🤷‍♂️

That said, Fable is being developed by Playground, so any engine modification that's needed to accommodate a different genre shouldn't be an issue.

Such a terrible comparison, but hardly surprising since its CerebralTiger we're talking about. Anthem's engine related issues weren't tied to its flying mechanic, but other things. That was one of the better part of the game actually.

Yet another case of terrible understanding on Necrokiller's part, but hardly surprising since it's not the first time. The flying mechanic i.e. faster traversal, in Anthem led to random loading screens and streaming issues. I encountered a mid-air load screen back when I played the beta, while others in my party encountered it at other random instances. Things may have improved now, but that was the state of the game at launch.

So according to CerebralTiger, random loading screens in Anthem beta wouldn't exist if the player was never flying in the game? :ROFLMAO:

It's especially hilarious when the person sharing a tweet boasting about ForzaTech streaming assets at "250mph" is asking this question 🤣

Streaming issues in Anthem wouldn't exist if the engine could keep up with the asset streaming requirements, which is made worse by faster traversal 🤷‍♂️

Anthem's entire free roam map was indeed fully traversable without any loading screens. The issue was the frequency and length of the loading screens with everything else, including the hub area, the indoor mission areas and such. This has nothing to do with the flying mechanic at all. Your assessment here is completely false and/or misguided. 🤷‍♂️

Read this statement again and ask yourself if you actually described the cause of the issue or merely stated where it happens. Your approach to assessment is no assessment lmao.

Again, it depends on when the asset streaming is stressing the engine. It can happen both when flying and when not. The hub area was far more densely packed compared to the rest of the game, and there were loading screen despite player movement being laughably slow.

As mentioned earlier, I also encountered loading screens during outdoor areas while flying during the beta on PS4 🤷‍♂️

What I described has nothing to do with flying in the game. Your entire assessment hinges on what you possibly encountered in a beta :ROFLMAO:

Doesn't make these statements accurate.

It can happen both when flying and when not.
They're flat out incorrect 🤷‍♂️

You probably encountered a party member triggering a mission and the rest of the squad teleported to the point to progress the mission. Again, has nothing to do with introducing flying in the game 🤷‍♂️

So yes, your assessment was laughable. :ROFLMAO:

The game resumed from where the loading screen interrupted me mid-air, so nah. Try harder 🤷‍♂️

Imagine confusing a streaming issue with fast travel-to-mission area in a shared world shooter 🤣

Anyway, back on topic, TWO FIFTY MPH! TOO OP! 🤣

Forza Horizon games lack a sense of speed. It's been my biggest issue with the series. Here's hoping FH5 will improve things 🤷‍♂️

Maybe it was the character interacting with the water mid-air under a water fall :ROFLMAO:

CerebralTiger thinking he can identify streaming issues continues to be a hilarious topic :ROFLMAO:

Necrokiller: Hey Tom, they've also got you covered from the sea with Sea of Thieves cuz they nailed its most essential component, and will do the same for outer space with Starfield 🤣
