I appreciate that this has something of a 'story goal' for you to reach. FH4 didn't have any kind of story or event to motivate you to continue. I didn't play FH2 or 3 so don't know about those, but the first game had a 'story' component too which is one of the things that got me hooked to it.

A little bit of narrative goes a long way to keep my interest.

The overhead is probably comparable on Series X but not more.

The Series X is performing much better than a 2060S in Performance mode (somewhere between a 2080 and 2080S based on Alex's guesstimate), so it'll naturally perform much better than a 2060S in Quality mode with an unlocked frame rate in gpu intensive scenarios. Common sense, yo

This is definitely the best horizon game yet and its absolutely stunning at times even on series S

Ps. I got my senna, gts and the centenario today.

Can be tweaked to improve quality beyond the "default" of Forza Vista.
Runs better on Nvidia GPUs than AMD.

Truly! Couldn't even shoehorn some RT reflections for your liking

I just pressed the oopse button (rewind) during an online race and wow!! It's actually useful now it did a rewind like usual with everyone else moving ahead so instead of a black out of a second or two plus the distance covered (horizon 4) it helped me secure a third place still..it would've been at the bottom of the whole lineup in FH4 instead.

What annoyed me was the manual travel to next race's destination between co op/online events wasting 3-4 minutes on average between the races I would rather fast travel to that location and get on with the race instead

Fan mods for RT are welcome, but the games built-in method of using real time cube mapping is also incredible and does an excellent job.

The limitations of cube maps were really apparant when compared to ray traced reflections. In some scenes it felt like the ray traced reflections actually improved the lightning too on cars

yaar yeh game Ufff hai...
super fun to play, excellent set pieces, nice gamemodes..great game

some of the best vegetation ever, specially considering Farcry 6 was also portraying latin america and had really great vegetation aswell

i am running game on 2K with extreme preset on my pc and the game looks absolutely marvelous and this is best looking car racing game for me

How does this game fare on the series S ? I wasnt really looking to buy an XBOX but the overwhelming positive response of this game along with upcoming release of Halo has definitely got me thinking. Dont have the budget for Series X but I can definitely get a series S if both these games play well on it.

Both games work really well on Series S.

Horizon 5 is 1080p-1440p 30fps, 810p-1080p 60fps. Performance is solid on both modes.

On the new machines, there's a performance mode and a quality mode. Series S runs quality mode at between 1440p and 1080p (an upgrade from the preview code we saw) with a performance alternative that's 1080p with DRS fallback to 810p.

Yar there is no way I am going 30 fps now that i am used to 60fps. 1080P 60 fps seems fine, although i do sit pretty close to the tv so not quite sure how the IQ would turn out to be.
