Deathloop is a single-player game with optional multiplayer invasions. Forza Horizon 5 is a racing game where playing competitively is one of the main things. Why would someone want to play at 40fps and be at a disadvantage
I will be playing it in performance mode I doubt we will be able to observe those increased level of details....if I had a RTX 3090 PC then it would've been a different story but anyways the consoles today are good enough to make you not miss the PC that much

Same, I really don't care that much about motion blur, but their comment about the difference in pop in was interesting, need to see if the pop is visibly notable in the performance mode to me on my screen.
Happened with Watch Dog Legion as well. Quality mode are already back to 30fps and this is a cross-gen game without ray tracing on a very well optimized engine.
Recommended specs are slightly higher than FH4 and FrozaTech engine's dynamic optimization is pretty good. Should be able to get ~100fps at Ultra preset. VRR will take care of the rest.
Conveniently removing the other part of the full sentence to start an argument. Typical of CerebralTiger
Meaning modes with higher fidelity are 30fps even in cross-gen games without ray tracing. Hopefully people have dialed back their expectations from these consoles for "current gen" only games
Modes with higher fidelity are 30fps even in current-gen only games w/ or w/o ray tracing. There is no trend here that indicates current-gen only games can't or won't have 60fps performance modes
Heck, the best FPS series will likely continue offering a 120fps mode

Yeah let's see but they were nitpicking there we need to wait for another refresh like a series X pro and ps5 pro to get native 4K 60fps gameplay without sacrifices basically quality mode @60fps. The only thing I didn't like in FH4 was the draw distance for objects/grass even on max/ultra settings on PC you could visibly see the changes a few meters away from your car I hope they have fixed that now I haven't been able to spot it yet in FH5 gameplay vids.
Yeah definitely especially if you have a 1080p screen which is pretty common for a 3060 machine...don't get me wrong series S is pretty good for a 4TFLOP machine but I don't like it one bit it's servely underpowered compared to a series X which is just 200$ more. Funny enough it has 512GB storage and to be on par with series X@1TB we need a 140$ expansion card so it's basically 440$ with way less power. I am just mad at Microsoft for doing this a lot of people bought series s because X wasn't available

I think it's more to do with a cheap entry point than hardware availability.
This year there's still a lot of PS4/XBO games coming out, but imagine next year when the last-gen has mostly died out .. the Series S will be the cheapest entry point into the next gen, a good, cheap, thing people can buy during the holiday period as a gift or whatever.
