MULTI First Dead Space 3 Details

Dead Space 3 sees series hero Isaac Clarke stranded on a frozen planet called Tau Volantis after his ship crashes, according to alleged insider info procured by Siliconera. > > http://www.siliconera.com/2011/09/2...lace-on-a-frozen-planet-first-details-inside/

Believing he is the only one to come out of the accident alive, he finds his way to an abandoned waystation where he meets another survivor who tells him that a few others made it - including Ellie from the first game - and have set off in search of a facility.

Duly, they apparently all rendez-vous, with new character Jennifer then concentrating on reverse engineering mysterious tech by a group called Rosetta.

There's also mention of the trio climbing a mountain pursued by an unseen foe, while the game's enemies are reportedly referred to as "the hive mind."

EA isn't commenting on its veracity, but the leak comes from the same source that correctly called a Syndicate scoop recently.

I have mixed feelings about this game, 1 was great, 2 was just more of the same and if 3 doesn't revamp gameplay or the story. I might not be seriously interested in this.

Not to mention, i never ever really understood what the fuck was ever going on.

I'm skeptical about this stuff... hive mind was the final boss from the first game... ellie was actually in the second game. The premise seems to be interesting though

playing the game on a planet seems far more interesting than the spaceship/space station. Either way Dead Space can't go wrong

Clarke just cant seem to get a break, I have only played Dead Space 2 but that game was very fun, I wouldn't mind if they gameplay was the same. Its the story I'm thinking about

Anyone seen the two movies, that were released by Dead Space? It explains the story quite alot and the movies aren't half bad, they're gory like the game and are Japanese animation so you know its gonna be good. Warning, the 2nd one isnt as good as the 1st tho

I hope they fix the MP cuz in Dead Space 2, it was kinda stale and non-attractive

2 wasn't really as awesome as 1, Like Roark said it was just more of the same.
Oh cmon guys. What are you talking about. 2 have a long hrs gameplay and contains much intense and suspense in this game and addictive as well with different levels. 1 was totally repetitive and circling in some same levels, it was good tough.

Man Dead Space 2 was just an expansion for the first one, same environments and i hated the spaceship areas, same monsters, pretty much the same guns, same shit different day.

Scarce Ammo, lethal enemies, the story is so confusing. It makes no damn sense, the marker's origin is never explored or explained. Niether is the fact that why everyone is even trying to harness it, what would they gain and after all the marker causes, who the hell would even want to go near it. If i was Isaac and i woke up for the third time around the marker surrounded by monsters. I'd just shoot myself, same shit different day.

Cut the guy a break, it's like the markers follow him everywhere.

Dead Space suffers from the Bioshock problem. While the first one was great, the second part was just the milking of the same game. Atleast Bioshock switched to infinite and it looks immaculate. Until Dead Space can offer the same premise, i'm afraid it's just not interesting enough.

I hated DS2.

It had mindless violence. No proper story, no introduction, like shooting and killing monsters from the start. <__<...

If 3 is gonna be like that, then you may count me out.

100% agreed. People still preferred Plasma Cutter over new weapons. Stalkers were nice new addition but it felt like an expansion.

DS2 sold over 2 million copies and the threequel is inevitable but Visceral Games needs to do a major overhaul like a BioShock Infinite was to BioShock.

Bioshock 2, although much of the same, provided plenty of excitement. The story wasnt as good as the previous one, neither were the new characters but thats only because of the hefty burden on it's shoulders. It definitely wasn't milking, the game was just not good enough.

I honestly didnt want any drastic changes in the gameplay anyways so thats fine by me. The story was okay for a shooter but I definitely expected more from this title. The characters were lame compared to it's predecessor. I mean, was there anyone as cool as Ryan, Fontaine and Cohen? They should have followed Bioshock 1's footsteps and worked alot more on the story, history and characterization.

Bioshock did deserve a sequel but it lost it's way. It lost what made Bioshock so memorable. I must say, it was fun going back to Rapture, but I expected more from the story, characters and history.

In short, what I must say is that your arguement about DS2 suffering the Bioshock problem is wrong. DS2 doesnt even deserve to be compared to Bioshock 1 and 2.
