They get a bigger cut from EGS being on Unreal Engine as well. Doubt Sony/MS can match that in any case

Maybe they're exaggerating a little, but it does need a patch or two to iron things out, so this can definitely wait.

This is an Unreal Engine 4 game .. they´re usually pretty well optimized.

I guess resolution doesn't really make much of a difference here wrt stutters. It's just a straight up bad port that needs a patch for maybe the asset streaming (or maybe there's eventually a fix using SpecialK). Pre-compiling shaders at loading would also help. Perhaps poorly implemented DRM is the main culprit.

P.S. Odd seeing RTSS failing to catch frame time variances in modern games. I think this is also the case with Battlefield 2042 to an extent.

I don't understand what part of "old game with new graphics and perhaps gameplay mechanics upgrades" don't the developers of these days get. Almost every remake/remaster we get these days is just worse than the original game.
