Massively LTTP. But i skipped it at launch to play this on the PS5 and finally finished it yesterday.
I have never really played any final fantasy game when i was a kid and the first and only other FF game that i have played is FF XV. So i dont have any sort of nostalgic connection with the game or the franchise as a whole.
BUT THIS GAME !!! Man, this is an absolutely incredible work of art. The game looked incredible, the combat system was super addictive and the game direction was absolutely flawless. Loved the transition from cut scenes to actual gameplay, not that this is the first time that its done but there was something uniquely different about it. Also, I sorta miss those CGI movies that we used to have in games back in the PS2 days. Glad to see a couple of them in the remake, they looked so cool.
There were a few very minor quarks like unskippable cutscenes and minor pacing issues within chapters but overall this really was an impeccable experience. Jap studios really are masters at fleshing out each and every supporting character and this game is a testament to that. There is something very unique about jap developers when it comes to story telling and supporting cast. Loved it. I would liked to know a bit more about Sephiroth but i guess thats what the second part would be about ?
Anyways this is a must play for every playstation owner out there imo and its games like these that really make Sony outshine Xbox.
