Final Fantasy VII Remake is a masterwork akin to the original release; it has endured the test of time. Square Enix has properly evolved the game without losing its essence, and while not without fault, it's able to elevate itself to the level of this generation's greatest titles. Melding the past with the present is no easy feat, and it has surpassed our greatest expectations.

Not that I think this will crash. I'm expecting mid 80's meta.

I have heard that this game will come in parts and first part involve only Midgard . With usual JRPG padding and lot of useless cut scenes, I hope it is more than 10 hour length wise.

Padding is one of the main complaints. A lot of the expanded content comes off as filler, as per several reviews. The other major complaint is this being just the first part of what was originally a complete game.

That's a valid complaint in my opinion. I know fans would be willing to happily spend more than twice what Square Enix is asking for, but in my opinion this should not have been priced more than $40.

As far as I understood (and I know nothing about FF) ..this remakes are going to be over 3/4 games and they might differ in some story points from original ?

Yup, I agree. $40 would've been a fair price point, especially since there's no telling how many parts there will be. Midgar was only the first couple of hours from disc 1 in the original.
