As a user of Fiberlink Corporate internet, their services are fine but suffer from same issues from time to time like disconnection for a few seconds every few hours. For gaming, they are no better than ptcl. Pings are 130-140ms to EU and a lot more to SEA (300+). To dubai however, you can get 30ms.

I still use PTCL (100ms to SEA and 150ms to EU) for gaming, as I do not spike or get disconnected.

For browsing and downloading it is better than PTCL by far.

by the way on my ptcl i get 170 on eu servers 350+ on SEA and 250 on usa. So i mostly play on eu servers, for which fiberlink is better....what download speed do you get and is it constant through out the day? Thanks in advance

I'm gonna go and check out the ping times in a couple of days. Could someone give me a list of different servers from all the regions to ping? I'll run some tracerts as well. What else should I check?

Actually I was checking the fiberlink facebook page and I came across a guy who seemed to have a 20mbps connection installed and he had shared his speedtest on his timeline. I dont know him personally!!

Hey thanks. I checked their website which was linked on their FB page and it looks like they are providing service in Lahore as well. Their regional office is very near as well. I will go their tomorrow and get some more info and do a speedtest/pingtest as well.

If you play Dota2 or BF3/BF4 etc then you can grab a screenshot of their server list/region selection or check ping from following servers.

Coventry UK (Gives around 190ms ping on PTCL DSL)
Chicago IL USA (around 270ms)
Miami FL USA (around 290ms)
Servers in west coast USA and Canada are usually close to 350-400ms

I don't play those games but my brother does. I can take my brother's laptop but where can I check the pings of all the servers at once?

I spoke to them today. It is available in my area (New Garden Town, Lahore). I will order tomorrow and update quality once its installed.

open Multiplayer - Battlelog / Battlefield 3 using INternet explorer. Download and install the latest battlelog plugin. Restart your browser. Now goto regions and then u can select countries from any continent. Choose germany, france, uk, italy from europe and check the ping.... Remember to arrange the pings in ascending order.... I won't recommend chrome for this job because it is creating some problems with external plugins, IE works fine. Please check this procedure on your ptcl dsl and post your reply.....

this is web based and it neither requires bf3 installed nor a battlelog account. Give it a try!!

please disconnect your vpn and select germany, france and uk from europe region on battlelog. and then kindly post the screenshot.. i usually get around 160-170 on most of the german servers(when my ip is 39.50.x.x). on 182.178.x.x ip i get higher pings. Please see that your ip is of 39.50.x.x and u will get better pings.

I never get IPs from 39.50.x.x range. I usually get them from 182.178.x.x and 182.185.x.x and sometimes 39.34.x.x.
Restarted router 3 times and got 39.34.x.x range:

ok no problem.. when you go to their office just select the german, france and uk servers from battlelog, u can also see ping on SEA by selecting singapore and hong kong from South Asia region and see their pings. by the way here is my screen shot for EU region on 39.50.x.x ip:

Those are some good pings. I'd be willing to get Fiberlink just for these pings. I'll run the tests and post back here. If I like it I might get it installed by June.

Can you kindly run tracert for lux.valve.net and sgp-1.valve.net whenever you go for testing.

Guys in what areas its available in lahore? Was thinking of moving to telenor 3g 8 rupay wala package but now freakin 20mbps Unlimited in 2.5 k and just 25 k for entire year....

can you please tell me what download speeds do you usually get? When I called their representative they said the usual speed for the 4mbps connection would be 16 kB/s. Thats truly pathetic.

I couldn't inquire further because they had already jumped me through 3 hoops. The number on the website, when I called, the person gave me another number. When I called that second number he told me to contact Gulshan office number. When I called Gulshan Office, they gave yet another number. All this just to inquire about service
