Benchmarks are just a number , they do not represent the actual performance of the device at all, even the old moto x is smoother in operation compared to all these devices

the purpose of benchmark is not what ur talkng about...benchmark shows how powerful the hardware is...smoothness of OS is something different and is related to proper utilization of hardware...and btw how much smoothness do u need? i m pretty sure these devices are 98% smooth if not 100% and that dont mean nothing if u mean the real thing that really matters...so u lose here Sir

They are synthetic not real benchmarks. Software can be modified a little bit to achieve high scores . I know what I am talking about here

Too bad, as soon as touch wiz lands on that beastly hardware everything goes south. Lets see if history repeats itself.

TouchWiz is after all TouchWiz, tech reviews show despite how lite it has become (60% cut down vs. what you got on the GS5) it still lags. Now whether this lag is because of Lollipop or TouchWiz is still debatable.

Screw AnTuTu. Iphone 6 IMO has the best real life performance period. Even though its only a Dual-core with 1 GIG of ram. It can easily best those fancy Octa-core phones.

Bottom line is : No matter how fancy the hardware is. At the end of the day its real life performance that matters.

Its not just AnTuTu; Samsung Galaxy S6 series smartphones are really fast.

Also, how can you be so sure about iPhone 6 being the best performer without testing every smartphone available? You cannot. Software configurations and personal management also influence performance.

Tried the Iphone 6 and it was very very fluid. Guess that's exactly what 'one' wants.. Not the fancy hardware.

As I pointed out before, unless you have thoroughly tested every smartphone released thus far, you are not in the position to declare iPhone 6 as having best performance among all. A normal user is not likely to notice difference in performance in high-end smartphones, most of these devices feel so similar. It is more realistic to assert that iPhone 6 is 'among' the best performing smartphones in the world or it is the best performer among the smartphones that you have personally tested and/or used thus far, should you feel the need to boast about its performance.

I have tested Nexus 5 and it is very smooth (not a single jerk). However, I will not boast about it being the best performing smartphone in the world just because it happened to be the best performing smartphone that I have personally tested. There are other smartphones that are better then Nexus 5; I know this from revelations on the web.

Benchmarks don't mean much when it comes to smartphones. No. 3 and No. 9 both are rocking Snapdragon 810 processors, figure why the gape is so huge between the two (no, it's not because of the 1GB less RAM or 1080p display).

You don't need to test 'every' smartphone out there. Test 2 or 3 flagships and that would be enough of a sample.
