Hello friends. I hope you all are doing well. I ordered an i5 7500 3.4 GHz processor from Homeshopping.pk on Friday. Today i received my product and i am not satisfied with it. Firstly the box was not sealed( Not much of an issue for me). Secondly the box in which the processor came does not belong to the specific model plus the booklets and sticker for the processor are missing too. Lastly the cooler that came with it is broken. I have lodged a complaint to their helpline and emailed them as well regarding this issue. (They gave me 24 hour checking warranty).

I will now never recommend anyone buying anything from them. I hope they solve my issue. All i want now is a refund. If you guys had faced such issues can share it here and let me know how was your experience regarding replacement or refund.

Note: Mods if i have posted it in wrong section than kindly move it to its appropriate section.

Thank You!

UPDATE 1: (1-8-17) I got a call back from them today and they said they will only replace the product. No refunds.

UPDATE 2: (2-8-17) I sent the processor back to their Karachi outlet.

UPDATE 3: (3-8-17) They received it and called me saying you will get replacement done on Monday (Depending on stock availability)

UPDATE 4: (4-8-17) They don't have the processor in stock. They are refunding the amount. (Waiting for confirmation)

i think there should be a dedicated sticky thread for these sort of things so that members can have some idea regarding sellers outside pg regarding their prices and quality

What made you buy PC parts from them? Should have asked here first.

Galaxy/Czone used to be the go-to place a year or two ago. Don't know about know.
They still are.

HSN sucks for everything. The last thing I bought from them was the router I use, which was the Japanese variant and it has the Japanese bootloader which has a few WiFi channel restrictions and due to FCC regulations, you can't change the region on a router now.

That region change thing is a huge issue but I don't think it's only related to that. We have a Cisco router at work (dual-band, cost about 10k). It's wifi bands are not changeable. It used those 140+ walay bands (if I'm remembering correctly) and those don't even show up on most of our devices. I've tried changing regions. Even though it changes the region, the bands remain the same.

Exactly the same issue.

A developer helped me out though, there's this custom firmware that bypasses the bootloader restrictions on the router and it allows you to fiddle with 5GHz channels and transmit power as well.

They said it will be replaced and i will not face such issue again. Lets see. The delivery guy will come and pick the product from me tomorrow and will ship it back to them and than after 2 days they will send a new one. They promised that if i encounter same issue again than they will refund the amount without any questions asked.

Although I dont like homeshopping as well.
but The specific issue you're having is not related to that site.
Its more to do with whats in the market.

Right now, CPUs are under heavy demand and therefore sell out real quick,
In turn, these guys are ordering in bulk, for cheap, for huge profits.

Do you see that?
That is what summer brings to us PC folks.

Please wait until next year before actually making a major PC Upgrade/Purchase.

I did read many complaints about them for sending used, refurbished, open box and damaged / broken things and then a lengthy and tiresome exercise to get such an item replaced. Mostly people gave up.
