Driving License Karachi (Nazimabad Branch) ? [Help]

I am now looking to apply for driving license (Obv. Learning first). I heard that wo bhot 'Charaad' krte hain. I'd like to know the steps for what to do first and then. And some cautions , what to do or what not to. Help will be appreciated.
I have download forms (medical and learning). Have everything ready (CNIC copy and Photographs).

Anyone who have gone to their Nazimabad office in recent times, or who have expreienced.

You won't have an issue with the learner's permit. Just follow the instructions, pay the fees and you'll get your learner's permit then and there.

Well, What about the time this procedure will take. I am thinking to go at 8-8:15 A.M in morning. It''s 20-30 minutes ride from my residency. Is that right?

It's instant. You'll receive it instantly after the medical check up and your photo taken.

Everything happens in one day, in one visit, in a few hours (depends on the number of people there before you).

The first step is to go there and get a learner's license form, fill it up and attach a photo and a copy of your ID card if they ask, I didn't have to. Get the form checked and signed by one of the men wearing a traffic officer's uniform, after that pay the fee at the post office, then wait for your medical test (this requires patience 'cause I had to wait for 3 hours). Finally when your turn comes, they'll call you in and test your eyesight, that's all there is to their "medical test". They'll let you through even if you get all the alphabets wrong lol. After you're done with that, comes another wait, this time for a photo (I didn't have to wait too long for this). After your photo is taken, the same lady in that room will print out your license and hand it over to you and you're done.

If you're yet to go can you do me a favor whenever you do go? Can you ask anyone there, if someone got their learner's license made from the Nazimabad branch do they have to come back to the same branch for the permanent license or are they free to visit any other branch?

Related to this thread... what about permanent license? I went a couple of weeks ago and damn so much strictness. Nobody's allowed to enter the office. They gave us a slip for 10 march and told us to come at that day. 10 MARCH WTF [MENTION=39471]Blastwave[/MENTION]

Related to this thread... what about permanent license? I went a couple of weeks ago and damn so much strictness. Nobody's allowed to enter the office. They gave us a slip for 10 march and told us to come at that day. 10 MARCH WTF @Blastwave

Nope. Nothing like that in my experience; everyone was being treated at the moment. Maybe they made such changes after the rise in the number of people lining up for their licenses due to the recent campaign against drivers without licenses? I got mine made 5 months ago.

No. You have to go to the same branch.

I went few weeks back and asked the same question to the officer standing outside. He said you can get your permanent license from anywhere.

Yeah. I got a date of 30th jan. I would like to know the procedure of the permanent license if someone's got it here in karachi?
