Watches not only are useful for keeping track of time/date but they are also a useful tool to avoid awkward eye contact and to let the person yapping to you, know that you don't have time for his mindless prattle. :p
I'm usually patient but damn.. this habit has gotten me in trouble so many times. I look down at my watch and "Kahin jana hai tumhe tou chalay jao -.-"

Still much better than reaching your cell phone and turn it on to see time and than putting it back. That's makes you look like attention seeker. A quick look at watch will tell your exactly where you are on time.

I remember many times when you aren't wearing a watch and in sunlight it's hard to read phone screen, so often that puts you in very awkward position, as many times you are carrying shopping bags or something to eat.

Never leave home without a watch; feel incomplete.

Here is what i have been wearing since almost 5 years. Didn't even have to change the battery yet.

Tag copy. Very satisfied with it. Even do wazoo with this without taking it off.

Well if you're comfortable with the right hand than you need to reevaluate the rest of your gender-based lifestyle choices.
Boy really your quoting it like the scripture, there's no law no rule and no proof that a man wearing a watch on the right is a female. I wear mine purposefully on the right because it's far more comfortable for me. While I bat from the left, punch from the left and write from the right. Read up most of the time it's because of you either being right or left handed, my dominating hand is the left so I wear it on the right because I feel comfortable and that's the end of it.

Personally I waited out 7 years before I bought a watch this Eid, last one I owned was given by a friend a Seiko flight rule chrono that I destroyed in a fight. I waited out because I wanted a certain look and I wanted one that was not a replica and also because my finances never seemed in order. So I went out and bought a edifice and I spent ages in Saddar to get exactly what I wanted at a price no one could beat Rs. 5.4k!

Here's my pride and joy, she was bought keeping in mind my liking for a blue dialed prc200 and my love of small dials and retro looks that remind of a Omega Speedmaster! This model specifically is a very good speedmaster homage very much talked about in the watch forums internationally...it's available here cheaper than it's on Amazon.

I had the impression it was an unwritten law that men are supposed to wear watches on their left-wrists. :)
no sir it's more to do with what you are comfortable with and also if your left handed or right handed or which hand is dominant.

Watches are pretty cool, always wear one when I leave the house. I wear them on my right hand too and have been getting shit for it from my friends. I like swatch watches, they used to be affordable before but now as the dollar goes up they have been really expensive.

I really don't get the culture of wearing a watch on right hand will send some bad vibes. The right handed people are supposed to wear watches on their left hand and vice versa. Salute to the left handed people wearing watches on their left hand because of the "Log kya kaheinge" mentality.

In school or college it's often considered to wear watch on right hand being some kind of cool person. Although as you grow up, you wear suits and start sitting in formal meetings and mostly formal gatherings, The true (Unwritten) rules of being Gentleman do apply.

It is a culture thing. If you argue on there is no indication of being feminine if you wear watch on right, than you would probably begin to justify on clothing and Men wearing Pink (with exception of Morgan Freeman) also doesn't give wrong signals.

"Log kia kahen gay" shows low self esteem, But wearing watch on left is totally different topic. Now don't say one would start wearing watch on right to boost self esteem.

Watches are basically on of the few accessories men can wear, they basically show a persons status thats all.

and those who complain about the prices of high end watches like Rolex (original Rolex start from 2Lakh) dont know the difference. Its like saying that both a Mheran and a BMW are the same. They are not. Its just a perception people who cant afford them have and anyone who has actually seen a original Rolex can easily spot a fake, its just the feel.
