Do I need a passport or CNIC while travelling through air from Khi to Isl (Urgent)

Aright here's the deal, I have a flight in 7 hrs from khi to islamabad through PIA. I have registered for CNIC but haven't received it yet,I do have the bayform and my CIE original ceritifcates with me and statement of entry, and I can even bring my domicile. But is it necessary to have my passport with me or no? Cuz im a bit reluctant to bring it with me incase i lose it. Please tell me asap i have a flight in a few hrs. Anyone who frequently travels through domestic flights please state whether they ask for picture identification/cnic or no. I have the tickets receipt with me as i booked em online.

Passport is not needed on Domestic Flights

No passport is needed for domestic flights as the above poster said.

You might need some form of ID, i can't confirm that since my dad's a former PIA pilot and we are handled with a different procedure due to my PIA Family Card.

CNIC. Any form of identity is generally ok, but CNIC is recommended. I traveled without a CNIC, but used my college ID card.

Traveled several times without CNIC. At Khi airport during departure they may ask for CNIC but Isl guys are not that tough and usually dont ask for CNIC during boarding pass issue. If you have college ID card, viola. you dont need any other thing then

Boarded a flight from Karachi to Lahore and didn't need a CNIC at any point. Just handed over the paper ticket (printou) and got my boarding pass.

Edit: I did need a CNIC when I was buying the ticket. I am assuming the lady at the boarding counter wasn't paying attention, because she SHOULD have confirmed my identity. It was the "No luggage" counter, so maybe she just forgot or didn't care enough to check.
