Do Game Development still have any home/future in Pakistan?

We don't much discuss about game development scene in Pakistan, and as a prove take a look into this section..totally dead! anyway that's not my real question/concern I just want to know your views on Game Development in Pakistan..

Do you think there is any hope or future exist for Game Development in Pakistan? lost of universities like FAST, SSUET, Hamdard, KU etc are giving degrees in BS which usually and mostly deals with programming but none of these universities actually teach or introduce peoples with game programming..(I think NU FAST does as one of my friend's brother was working on Characters animation etc stuff when he was in Fast..but I am nore sure).

There is lots of talent exist in our country like you will find many good 2d designers, illustrators, animators, programmers etc but none of them showed any interest in game development..though if the concern peoples take it seriously it will open a new stream of revenue for them..

well there are many rumors about that
but thats nothing that just same as Vice n SanAndreas ,
i have played it
its just a total loss of 25rs
and you can download all the mods from internet

In my opinion, the gaming industry doesn't have a very bright future in Pakistan. Animation? Definitely! I'm waiting for our very first animation movie here patiently. Gaming? Not gonna happen, because parents don't support it at all. Most parents think that playing video games is kid-stuff and some think it's really dangerous. It's...simply not gonna happen IMO.

I am agree with Arsal..are are lots of institues are poping up from no where about Multi-media diplomas etc (read the sunay news paper lol) but still none of them teach the building blocks of game developing..anyway IMO Pakistan don't have any future or a light of hope for the game development for the next 10 years or even more?

next 10 years...for that u have to plan from now.The future is really in dark sahdes about gaming development in Pakistan.When they going to take it as an industry then there will be some light but for now on..nada.

We can hav a bright future in Game development . but first we hav to create a market like before 10ys ago. no single professional animation done in pakistan. all r done by India or US. but now we can see the HI-FI commander safe guard movie which create a lot impact on Pakistani Multimedia Market . this is not a work of an individual . its an institutional project. some institution should take steps and try to fill the gap which can effect the international market. thats how we can do some thing in this industry.

Ya i dont see any hope of game devlopment in pakistan for the next couple of years, i mean for gods sake most of our universities still use turbo c which was used like in 1993-1995! Tho i agree wid u guys that animation and modeling does have a scope in pak!
