Resolving to 1440p and 2160p in Perf and Quality mode with a damn near locked 60.

Pretty good. Pixel count could have been higher.

But then 1440p to 4K there is no reconstruction.

DLSS upscaling from 936p to 1440p will be far superior than FSR. but internal resolution still matters. The lower it is, the less effective the reconstruction.

And looks like disabling VRS did lower the pixel count a bit. PS5 now sticks to its static lower bound and XSX is a middle ground. Both were 1008p tops before.

Now the game is in a much better place, as VRS has been removed entirely. This boosts image quality substantially, both on PS5 and Xbox Series consoles. The game isn't visually perfect, as edges can break up a bit in motion and there are some temporal accumulation artefacts present, but the game now generally reaches the same level as other current-gen titles - smooth, detailed and attractive.
Reconstruction doing its job saeens.

Also, dont see much of a difference b/w ps5 n sx, 'babayyy' lol
Higher pixel count and more consistent frame rate saeen, aur kia chahie ;)

Wo to shayad kahi nahi hai, bass some places have it less of an issue than others, it's all about management :p
Less more ki to baat hi nahi rahi ab. Stutter har jagga hai aur yahaan to chup chaap perfect bana ke bethe thay console loug 😛

Alex said himself they exist on all platforms. Nobody said anything about one platform affected more than others 👀

The best version now, and always was, is the one that isn't limited to 900p60 and has best in class reconstruction 🤜

I played it in quality mode & in that mode, it is a locked 30 fps, not a single frame drop! Similar to SX!

& traversal stutters are the same on both machines in performance mode.

Also, I don't like this FSR 2 on console!

The best implementation is in Witchaa 3 no doubt, but overall its been lackluster compared to the usual temporal shit devs do on console!

Stutters on all platform, the slower your system, the more intense the stutters. So better than console specs makes the PC version the best way to play the game. (y)

Real star of the show is PC exclusive DLSS. FSR is plain awful.



Can't resolve all detail, ghosting artifacts, and muddy blurry textures.




Only on PC you can adjust the LOD bias with Nvidia control panel so the textures look like they should (y)

So that's it for Dead Space on PC - I like the game but it's clear that the PC version could use fixes in specific areas. Traversal stutter is the biggest issue at present, as it's intrusive to gameplay and atmosphere, and seems to manifest more intensely on PC than on consoles.

Aw man, another dud PC port. Hopefully it improves over time.
