I don't see the HDR caliberation thing in the options menu either!
It's just the PS2-era brightness thing. Who the F ok'd the options menu for this game, lol ?!
Also, John says if you use DLSS/FSR 2 on top of VRS it butchers the textures!

DLSS/FSR2 would lower the internal resolution, the lower it is, the more horrible VRS looks. This would not be an issue when VRS can be switched off.
Legacy game engines like Red Engine, Luminous Engine, whatever Asobo calls its engine, and Frostbite need to die, and all devs should move to UE5 so that:
1. Consoles are better utilized
2. Stutter is more common on PC
3. Tim Sweeney can make more money

Patch is up and it only attempts to fix performance issues on PS5, not VRS. Toggle to disable VRS added to PC.
Series X still looks bad with muddy textures, but shit just looks awful on PS5. Series S looks better

I started this, the games lighting and environments are mostly dark so you won't notice these unless you deliberately crank up the brightness to seek it. I think all versions are gonna be fine.
The performance mode is so fucking smooth. Makes Callisto's 60 FPS mode feel like a 40hz mode lol.
In general the game doesn't look as good as Callisto but it is a much better playing game.
