Dead Hardrive Data restoration

so as the title suggest i have a dead hard drive i dont want it but i want data on it, i tried connecting it with different power cable and data cable and even on external case but its still not visible on my pc and yes i dont hear any noises, it died slowly and signs(sometimes it showed when i started the pc and sometimes it never showed up and upon restarting pc it starts showing but now it never show up) were there but i was lazy and didnt acted to save the data and now it never shows i guess i heard some noise during early days when it was showing and not showing occasionlly anywho its a 2TB seagate hard drive and i want to know if i can do anything to retrieve the data.

Update
so as i said i have connected it with my pc via external case now it got detected yesterday quite few times but problem is it works only for like minute or 2 minutes before it hangs up and i have to turn off the power button on external case so to get out of this hang anyhow i have manage to copy few family pics these are like 33 Gb mostly my daughters but i only managed to copy 8 gb from 33Gb now is there a way to prolong it i dont care about anything movies and stuff i can re download its the pics i care.
It makes tik tik sound when it works for a minute before it hangs up this tik tik sounds gives me a heads up that its going to work, but i have to restart computer for it to work for a minute or two.

Very Strange problem. Well i see the Hard disk has died to its a lucky thing you get to copy some stuff from it. You can try two things
1. Install a software that helps copying from bad or damaged drives. like "bad copy pro"
2. Try your HDD in a non windows setup. For example run a ubuntu off a CD or USB . its free to download and run and see if your HDD is detected in ubuntu and if it allows you to copy or not?
