you buying ? :)
Depends on the availability when I'm in the market for a wireless mouse. Expensive for sure, Razer products are rarely cheap. However, its certainly one of the best performing wireless mouse in the market. You don't often see wireless mice performing as good as the wired ones. :)

Also has a 1000Hz polling rate, an added bonus for some here really critically anal about those things :ROFLMAO:

Original full reply from the vetted dev on Reddit:

16 hour work days since 2018 .. oof.

RE: Revenue sharing.

Only Gwent team has gotten revenue sharing for the last 5 years and last year most staff for 1800 Euro and Junior staff got 500 Euro 'bonus' because of spike of TW3 sales due to the Netflix series.

Poor guys.

The thing I like about Jason is that he isn't doing this for any kind of point scoring. I trust that he is impartial and unequivocally against crunch because he has reported the same for ND, Rockstar, and others. I also like that he has again pointed out ND as well (wrt death march) in the tweet above. That's exactly my view as well. Crunch is bad regardless of who does it. This new information suggests that it is really bad for some devs at CDPR which is why the debate shouldn't be about who does crunch better but rather why it is bad no matter how 'good' it may be. I hope @Chandoo and @CerebralTiger are on the same page as well and this is not just about CDPR vs ND.

Absolutely. Crunch is awful, whether it's at ND, Rockstar, or CDPR. The industry needs to unionize to combat it, particularly in the AAA domain. As games get bigger and more complex to make, the workforce also needs to expand accordingly. Otherwise, there's crunch and multiple delays. There are around 500 people working on CP2077, so I'm not even sure if a lack of workforce is the issue. The statement about "dicking around in pre-prod for ages" seems to suggest that it's been a poorly managed project from the get-go, and the higher ups wasted a lot of time creating hype at media events and just basking in all the attention.

Tbh, some of the statements from the Reddit post seem to suggest that it's also bad for the game. Devs being kept out of the loop when the game they're working on for years gets delayed, when it's sent for certification, when it goes gold, or any milestone really is likely to shatter their confidence, especially when these things are revealed to them via Twitter of all places. On top of that, working 16 hours a day to rush the development of almost the entire game in a year? Yeah, that does not sound very reassuring.

There appears to be a major disconnect between CP2077's marketing push and actual development, and it shows. Showing off gameplay mechanics / features that were still being prototyped by the devs puts them in an odd spot.

Red Dead Redemption 2 was delayed twice. (Fall 2017 to Spring 2018, to Fall 2018)
Last of Us Part 2 was delayed twice. (Feb 2020 to May, to June)
Cyberpunk 2077 has also been delayed twice. (April 2020 to September, to November)

Not to mention a host of other games that got delayed in early 2020.

There is no such thing as a "well managed AAA project". Crunch, unfortunately, plagues the industry.

Looking forward to tomorrow's episode.

No delay = no crunch? LMAO wut?

With Miles Morales, Spider Man remaster and Ratchet, they are likely crunching more than they ever did.

None of this seems unique to one or two companies. It's just that some stories are out in the open while others are not. The tension regarding management-worker relation sounds believable and tbh, that's a thing across the professional world and not just in gaming. Too often the burden of management decisions and blunders are passed down to the workers who have no role or say in them. It's unfair and shouldn't happen.

What I find impossible to believe is that the topmost studios in the industry with all the money, time, and resources are unable to counter crunch. I think they are in a better place to deal with this issue than anyone else, which is why a big deal is made out of such incidents when they come to light.

Anyway, although not perfect, I'm generally confident about the game and expect it to turn out well.

Spider-man, a AAA game that is supposedly an appropriate comparison for this game, was released as per schedule in Sept. 2018. There are several examples of AAA games that release on time.

Cyberpunk 2077 was announced before Star Citizen.

'Good guy Poland'.

And not even a single notewrothy news piece of Insomniac forcing mandatory crunch or an expose from Jason or Jim Sterling, the last tweet on the matter is from March and even there he's acknowledging a much healthier atmosphere and speculation about possible crunch, nothing ground breaking lol
