It feels like an immersive sim on a magnitude that simply hasn't even been attempted before.

How does the question alter the context of the statement in the answer lol. "Our game is a closed work and is not a political statement [or] a political thesis" is pretty self-explanatory.

Because interviewer is asking about retroactively altering game content to fit the current political scenario. So the game not being a "political thesis" on the current BLM movement is self-explanatory.
