I have been following this game since first the teaser was released back in 2013, been a huge fan of witcher games I was very hyped for this one till they relesed the trailer and also keanue's entry to the game made me more hyped but after the release and all the backlash CDPR had to receive was really kinda disappointing and heart broken as well for me, but eventually in last 3 years the way they did all the hard work not to abandoning the game, releasing the Expansions/DLCs and their community support behind the game was way too professional and they really won back their audience trust, this made me so happy and restored the faith in the developers.

So I started playing the game after 2.0 update and man this game is just too good, combat system, frickin cool weapons, Cyberware stuff, intriguing story and the score uff, futuristic Night city so addicting. yeah there are some bugs here and there still but not like the game is unplayable.

Some people are just being too dramatic and hating it for no reason even without playing for themself I guess.

Btw I came here to ask about the base game/phantom liberty expansion sequence as its kinda confusing.

I want to play the game the right way (as I am in starting side quests , not following the main ones) so can anyone suggest should I play the base game first or would I naturally discover phantom liberty expansion during the missions ?

Keep playing the base game and after a certain mission the Phantom Liberty quest starts naturally. You will know when it does because a new character contacts you.

I would suggest to play the main game and major side missions as much as you can and create a save slot at the Point of No Return for the main game and then start Phantom Liberty as it unlocks a new ending for the main game too.

Save the game at the Point of No Return for Phantom Liberty as well. This way you can start from those points and see all the endings.
