Core i3 3220 3.3Ghz or Core2Quad Q9650 3Ghz 12mb cache

Salam Brothers,
I need to build a system, most probably for gaming. I want run all latest generation games without any hesitation, full resolution , and certainly yes, it simply means to cash up my budget, this is not the possible. My confusion at the moment is about processor.
I'm going to get a C2Q processor Q9650 3Ghz 12mb cache LGA775 at Rs.1000(1 year warranty) more than Corei3 3220 3.3Ghz 3Mb cache Rs.12K(new)LGA 1155 Socket.
Gpu and RAMS are not a problem. I do have enough knowledge about these components.
I need your professional suggestions and advice to some how make me choose either of the two.
Helps guys, don't have much time .

As suggested by others go with Core I3 3220 its better than all the core 2 quad of lga 775(even core i3 second generation is better than all core2quads) and with core i3 you have more upgrade options.

Personally i have used i3 3220 it is far better than c2q 9650 in games
