Career as an Ethical Hacker

AsslamuAlaikum

Guys is there any scope for ethical hacking career here in Pakistan. As far as I know the IT careers revolve around developers here in Pakistan with little to no scope for networking let alone a field like ethical hacking. I am interested in ethical hacking but feel there is no market for it in pakistan. Any experienced member can guide me on this

Brother,I am also interested in this field,what I think learning kali linux and proficiency in usage of its tools may classify you as "script kiddie" that is what I have read, but in addition to it having knowledge about networks,operating system,working of web servers can make one an ethical hacker/pentester/penetration tester.

Yes ur right and the real learning curve is vast with I think a lot of expensive certifications to get in the market and if there is no market at all then we're doomed. Many people then look abroad for the jobs but my problem is I can't afford to go abroad so I have to look at the pakistani market with is not very bright in this field in my opinion.

To be honest, the stakes are rarely that high to require a specialist for security in our country. Also 99.9 % of ethical hackers today are like script kiddies: They download Kali linux with all its tools pre-installed, and test the same vulnerabilities over and over again. They won't even know about a new vulnerability and its solution, until a 'tool' is made available for them, by which time, most of the things are patched already.

Koi zarurat b nai bhai ap certifications se shru kr skte ho. ye to hum jaison ka time zaya hota hai jo pehle degree me time waste krte hain or phir practical field me certifications ke piche dobara bhaagte hain

Certification kernay walo ko bhi job mil jati hai lekin un ki salary graduate say kam hoti hai aur degree to ik bunyaad hai career ki janib.

Hmm lekin bhai networking ki field me nai. Han software engineering ya developer wagera me degree kaam ati hai. Networking me hands on experience or certifications ki zada value hai or degree sirf time zaya krti hai networking me wohi time banda experience le to zada acha hai mere khyal se. Ab dekho mein degree lene wala hn MIT ki lekin muje networking me aane ke liye phir b zero se start krna hoga.
