Small update for those thinking to go with Solar power:

Alhamdulillah, got my Solar system installed finally!

Best purchase i've made in my life!

Now for the particulars:

- 10 320W panels [Jinko Solar]
- 5KW Infini V hybrid inverter
- 4 200ah dry batteries

The setup is running my entire house without breaking a sweat:
- 2 Fridges
- 6 Fans
- 6+ lights
- Water pump / washing machine / TV, etc etc
- Has extra capacity to run an A/C too.

- In daytime, my house runs entirely on Solar (KE meter stands still lol) and extra electricity production charges the batteries.
- As sunlight goes down, the inverter intelligently manages load b/w Solar and KElectric (or Battery when loadshedding occurs), so if load is 1000w and solar production is 600w, 400w is taken from grid/battery
- At night, inverter switches load to KElectric, bypassing the battery to conserve battery charge for when loadshedding happens. When loadshedding occurs, the inverter instantaneously switches to battery...you can't even tell that the light has gone out - it's amazing!
- Yes, I can run everything on battery power too. Runtime is 7 Hours for 1000w load (60% battery capacity consumed).

For those looking to install, I used the services of Scope Engineering Services and i'd highly recommend them: SCOPE Engineering Services - Home | Facebook

They are experts and will design the system according to your needs - you can refer to my setup if you'd like. They're also installing solar systems for Bahria Town, Karachi so they're legit good.

The only thing remaining from your post is the cost. How much did you pay for the entire setup? Also how much time was taken in the entire process, from order to survey to installation.

Cost was 500k+...it was on the lower side for me since we know the engineers at the company. Other solar providers will quote a cost of 600k+ for a system like this as they like inflating the cost..

Time taken was roughly 1 month due to Ramzan (the people from Scope Engineering would come after 9:30PM for the panel installation and wiring) and due to eid holidays, etc

It should take max 2 weeks to get the whole thing installed.

Yes, you can run Ac on the solar system but it all depends on the capacity of your solar system. If you have a small or low capacity system than it not help. Always consult the professionals before buying the solar system in Pakistan. However, 1.5 tons of inverter Ac will cost you very less than the solar system and then in the shape of electricity bills because it works smartly and put less load on your electricity.

Yes, You can use 1 ton Ac on the solar system but consult with any professional who will check specs of your solar system.
