If he's planning to do in a large scale, where he might get some attention, then sure he could. However making a small blog and posting links wouldn't be.

In that case he must go with offshore hosting.

Can you please mention the procedure? Like from where to start?
It's not that simple to recommend you any hosting provider. It depends on the customer's needs. I will suggest you to browse webhostingtalkdotcom and look for your demand + reviews.
And don't fall for reviews/ recommendations of hostingadvicedotcom. They are mostly paid.

But using offshore hosting is completely safe....Right?
No, uploading / distributing pirated content is risky/illegal wherever you are. It may work on the host for a while until they receive a DMCA complaint after which it is up to them to either ignore it(very rare), issue you a warning and or terminate your account without notice. No hosting provider will ever knowingly let you host pirated material.

But there is no chance of getting arrested using offshore hosting right? I mean how the other websites are still live? Like Fitgirl.com, Nosteam.ro and the mighty Piratebay.com ???

you don't understand, there will always be a chance of being arrested, what you and your friend are proposing is illegal. It's just a matter of whether the authorities think it is worth persuing.

I don’t think earning money from pirated stuff is halal .you are stealing somebody else work without his/her permission and making money on it .

But you and I both know that there is no agency like FBI in Pakistan to knock my door and say, "FBI OPEN UP !!!".... .I have never heard in news or somewhere else that a person is arrested for distributing illegal copies of software or arrested for committing cyber crime in Pakistan ....... And for safety i am still using offshore hosting......

the FIA Cyber Division is plenty active and they have gone after people on Microsofts request in the past (shop keepers mostly, but that's besides the point). Hosting companies will give up personal information in a heart beat when a court order is produced.

Is it possible and punishable by law?
Yes.

Is it easy for you to get caught by the law?
No, just don't leave any evidence that you're the one operating that website.

And even then you'd need alot of attention and someone to strike you for first for it all to happen.

This is a complicated discussion.
In theory the copyright laws (which the government was forced to sign due to pressure from US/Europe) in Pakistan against illegal material stipulate that it is actually illegal to download or upload material like cracks and torrents as it is everywhere in the world. But the reality is different.

In actuality Pakistan has a software piracy rate of 84%. Which means a huge chunk of its population is using illegal software and games. What can the cops do? Arrest all of them? And what are they going to tell them? They are going to say they couldn't afford the steep prices of video games in Pakistan and to bridge the gap relied on copied material.

In a country where laws exist but are never implemented there is no real stick over our heads to force us to buy legitimate software and games.

I have written an entire article on gaming in the developing world so this is where it comes from. Also there is a slight risk. We all know what happened to kickass torrents. But that was international. I have never heard of something like that happening in Pakistan. And what happened to kickass surprised us (how did it not happen to other torrent sites?)

And I promote responsible gaming so I must request you not to use, download and upload cracked and copied material. I wont force you or blame you for it of course but think of it this way. Why would any game developer develop games in and for the Pakistani audience when no one is buying their games in that country? They have to make money and this piracy is the reason Pakistan remains ignored in video game developers minds. So I say for enhancing gaming culture in Pakistan try to buy legal games where-ever possible.

And I am not perfect in this matter. I know Pakistanis have very limited budgets. I have the same problem.

In theory they can. But will they? That is another question.
The kickass founder was traced by online transactions he made.

Its extremely unlikely though. Read above post for more info.

You'd be surprised at how easy they can track people.
However, a measely pirated software of a company that does nothing to contribute to the economy of this country is not their concern.

So all in all, You've nothing to lose. Ever.

Han but if you do something on a national level or a big scale like some serious Die hard movie shit ... let's just say pirating a foreign governmental level program with access to personal data then they might reach you through Pak agencies

In that case, I should probably avoid the Mi Note 10 Lite, its older than the other two. Barely any good phones in 60K that isn't samsung. A71 is a good deal too but that is a year old as well.

That's a good point. Realme 7 Pro has a AMOLED display, which is why its attractive though I've no idea about Realmes software support unlike Xiaomi.
Yeah, these phones often have attractive features and seem like great value (most of them are) upfront, but if you want continued software updates so the phone lasts long, most of them don't live up to that promise.
