Depends on where you plan to study the minors from. Plus, the costs may be a concern. Thirdly, ACCA covers a much wider scope of subjects throughout the entire course of exams.

Yes u can, but first u will do FIA then u will get f1 f2 and f3 exemption im acca.students registering after 30th may will have to do FIA as for old students they can still give 3 mcq papers and entet acca with 3 papers exemptions.

I remember hearing about the change in the FIA structure. Personally, I believe it is a change for the better as students will be able to grasp concepts in a better fashion compared to what little they would learn with merely 3 MCQ papers with FIA.

That's the reason why I have been in support of CAT before ACCA. Perhaps, ACCA now realizes what a terrible decision it was to introduce 3 mandatory FIA papers in place of an extensive CAT route.

Agreed. Although some people can handle not having a proper base in base in accountancy through just 3 MCQ papers, but most cant.. As much as anyone thinks that this new scheme will take up more of their time than usual, its a good decision.

Indeed, I believe so. Not everybody needs to be grounded before he/she gains entry into the ACCA route, especially those with prior Accountancy knowledge.

u can apply online at acca site, or visit ur college, and F1 F2 F3 are first 3 papers of ACCA, u will get exemptions in these papers .after doing FIA.

Perfect route? Go for ACCA, get yourself the Oxford Brooks Bachelors degree and enroll in a nice and cozy MBA plan or add ICAEW as a topping. Ah! I wish I could have done the same instead of CA; just hated the fact of being equated with low-graders from A levels.

Don't you think that is rude? There are high and low performers in every organisation otherwise everyone would be a CEO, COO or CFO. On the other hand, there are people who are low performers in School/college(O/A level) but end up graduating with distinctions from Ivy leagues and Oxbridge (personally know few people!) so please don't underestimate people around you.

Haha yes I can imagine, I saw their accounts.

Banks are phir bhe documented (documented better than PTCL atleast)

In my firm, you require a Partner or Senior Manager refernce for internships. Not firm policy to recruit interns otherwise.

True. Although, its difficult to distinguish ourselves from them initially. But these people face difficulties later on in their life (starting with CA examinations and then managing office workload). By the time you would be heading a department these people would be still clearing their exams. The law of cause and effect works mate!

If you want to look at real injustice try looking around at children selling stuff at roads/intersections or those children employed at 'local dhabas' or worst sorting garbage at 'khachra kundhi'. Whenever, I felt down working tirelessly for O/A level exams I thought about these children and how helpless these people are. You and I still have a choice (work now and reap benefits later) but these people would be working all their lives and at times barely having food to feed themselves. Its like a vicious cycle in our society poor gets poorer and rich get richer. It different in other societies where there is general trend towards upward socio-economic mobility but in our society everyone has waived off his/her responsiblity (evading taxes e.t.c). The root cause being increasing trend of 'Zakat' and 'Charity'.
