i tried bloodborne again the other day on ps4 pro and 4k tv and man does the gfx suck ass and those stutters are aweful. very bad optimization
Game itself is decent, though fundamentally still the same old Souls formula. I'm shocked at the stuttering levels. For a game that prides itself on controls and combat responsiveness (its no Ninja Gaiden/Bayonetta/DMC now is it?), its downright atrocious. Glad I didn't pay for this shit.

Genuine question: is there a PS4 exclusive that you actually like? :p

Shitty performance and poor quality of game are two different things :p BB falls in the former. Anyone who likes Dark souls will like BB as well. Dark Souls 3 has better controls and camera tracking, so it feels more fluid than BB.

To answer your question: Rachet and clank. Shadow of the colussus. Im sure God of war will be great too. Will likely buy Gravity Rush 2 on sale as well. As for the rest, what can I say, most of them don’t live upto the hype. Horizon and UC4 being the biggest duds. Persona 5? Not my cup of tea. Wouldnt play it even if I got paid to do it :p

I just downloaded and started BB for like the 4th time yesterday. Now, I have a platinum trophy in this game and have finished it 3 times in the past and I cant actually believe that it was on my 4th play through with the game that I noticed how stuttery BB really is. Annoyingly stuttery. But then i realized that I started this of again just after having a second go at HZD along with the Frozen wilds DLC and HZD is butter smooth in terms of performance. I am sure these stutters would be even more of an issue for PC players like @Necrokiller and @JANARIOO who are usually accustomed to 60fps (and un-optimized games :p). So yes the performance is indeed bad but sorry @Necrokiller HZD is the best game of this generation (so far) :p.

Yeah, pretty much. Coming from 60FPS in Dark Souls 3, BB doesn't feel good at 30FPS. It would've been manageable if it was stable throughout, but the poor frame pacing and camera tracking on top of that make it terrible to play all around.

but sorry @Necrokiller HZD is the best game of this generation (so far) :p.
Hahaha. Its not even the best game of the year it released in :p

On the contrary, micro stutter / poor frame pacing has been a bigger concern on PC. So many games have suffered from uneven frame times on the platform at launch (until they're fixed months later).

From Software's engine is among the few offenders on PS4/Xbox One. There's an issue with how it handles v-sync on all platforms, including PC. However, on PC, the problem can be fixed by capping the frame rate through external means.

Anyways, the PS4 Pro does improve the experience in Bloodborne to an extent by doing away with uneven frame times resulting from occasional drops in frame rate. Though, naturally, the engine related inconsistencies remain.

we are talking about an EXCLUSIVE here (rest of the comment tht i did for venom applies here too) we are just talkin abt BB not any other game or pc.

the pc players feel it cause they have seen the Glory of praising the sun. i am not a PC or PS4 lover .. i am where good games are and where i can find the best experience for that specific game.

There's nothing to admit here and no 'end of story'. Despite the frame pacing issue, Bloodborne is a fantastic game.

Nope, that's me. PS4 Pro/Switch/PC - I have all games covered.

Defeated 4 bosses so far.

Spoiler: show
Cleric Beast
Blood-starved Beast
Father Gascoigne
Vicar Amelia.

Got 3 of them in the first attempt. Father Gascoigne's second phase was a bit aggressive.

This is something that I completely agree with. Despite the fact that I am finding the stutters to be annoying, I am actually giving the game a 4th play through just because its so damn amazing.

Zabardast... Are you enjoying the game ? I am done with the first 3 bosses with Vicar Ameila being the next one. Did you use the music box trick with Father Gascoigne ? The second phase really is super hard even to get out of his line of attack. I am surprised that you were able to get blood starved beast on your first attempt, i remember it took me around 50 odd tries to get that one the first time i played BB. I eventually opted to co-op just because it was so hard back then.

Yeah, its good. Though less challenging than DS3. And I still hate using the DPAD for inventory access and there is no way to change that on consoles. You can see in the video when I try to select the Oil Urn ( @ 1:05 mark), and I for some reason I missed it, so I had to cycle back the quick items to select it, all the while dodging and wasting stamina since my left analog stick movement in restricted. So yeah, good game, but awfully clunky experience.

Not aware of that trick. What does it do?

Well, I saw an option to summon Alfred outside (I didn't know which boss I'd be facing :p)...that might be the reason. Though he died fairly quickly, poor guy didn't even get a chance to heal himself once. I think I took out more than 50% of the Beast's HP on my own.

Its actually a side quest and you get the music box this way and by using the music box in the second phase of Father Gascoigne's transformation it can give you a fair bit of time to do plenty of damage. The lore behind this is that the Father Gascoigne is the young girls father (who also happens to kill his wife) and upon hearing the sound gets hallucinated for a while.

Defeated The Witch of Hemwick (joke boss?) and Shadow of Yharnam. The real boss in the latter is the camera.
