What is the best ISP availible in pakistan right now? I definitely donot want to go with dial - up anything like 256 k and above is fine with reasonable prices. I'm gonna in lahore btw.

Yeah dancom is quite pricey.
However its unlimited thats why it appears to be pricy... Wateen looks good i guess i'll have to call them about their packages cause their website doesn't appear to have them lol.

Go for PTCL DSL 256kbps for 1200/- Month, I personally use it thats why im recommending you. Let me remind you their DSL has some frequent downtime but its efficient in speed. I get almost 30kpbs Speed during the day time and 40+ at night.

Relatively to PTCL, you have multinet, CYBERDSL EXTREME and WOL, BUT they do not offer you 3 months free downloading + installation + modem as PTCL gives you according to their Policy they give you 3months of free downloading + Free modem + free installation. So my opinion for you is PTCL

dude you cant get 40+ on a 256 dsl... 256 kbps means 256 kilo bits per second... and i byte has 8 bits so that means 256kbps connection can download max at:

256 / 8 = 32 kb/s

BTW i wud also recommend 256kbps ptcl dsl...

Yar if you are in karachi, then there are two choices
worldcall and connect
Both are kinda same, but worldcall is more organized....
The service is good and the additional services (online game servers, instant movie/song/software download) are awesome......

Karachi users get Maxcom DSL. 256 K for 1800 unlimited download forever and i get a constant download speed of 27KBps at all times, and its customer support is also great. I have had few problems in the start and they respond very efficiently by sending its representatives within a day.

For islamabad http://www.dsl.net.pk/ looks awesome.. The pricing is very good.
If only it was available in more places

well i have wateen wimax on the trial period the speed was upto 3mbits (last month) but now im using a 512 kbits connection. However, from khi theres a huge ping problem:

i test from islamabad because its the recommended server. From karachi:

lower ping but crappy upstream
