AOA,
Today ill let you all know the secrets of getting good stable fps in game without getting screen tearing. As you all know V-sync already does that for you but many play with Vsync off because some like to run at 100+fps while others just dont like the input lag you get with V -Sync.

Well theres a very easy solution for getting constant stable fps and without any input lag.All you need to do is to make a config file which you shall save in ur BF4 game folder.

STEPS:

1.Right click on desktop and get the text document out, than write these two lines:
a) perfoverlay.drawfps 1
b) gametime.maxvariablefps 59 (59 is the fps cap you will need to set,can also be set to anything below the monitor refresh rate)

2.Click on save as and select BF4 in origin games as the destination.Select file type to "ALL" and name the file "user.cfg" than save it there.

3.Now go in the game( Test range) and you will see green fps counter on the top right corner of ur screen which gives ur in game fps.It will be locked to 59 but you will still see some screen tearing.

4.Now all you need to do is enable V-sync and wolla, the tearing is gone...plus you wont notice any input lag either which you got with Vsync on.......your fps will stay locked at 59 with Vsync enabled.....

If you wanna check to see the amount of input lag than open the command center in game with ~ key and write gametime.maxvariablefps 0 and ON Vsync than move your mouse around .Restart the game again with 59 fps locked again as its saved in the cfg file and again test out with V sync on.you will definitely notice the difference.....

The reason for doing this iss than runnig on 60hz monitor and getting above 60 fps means your gpu has to work harder and will generate more heat which is not good for the system while capped you can get stable and buttery smooth gameplay without screen tearing and without putting too much load on the gpu.......

THANKS
