Since I'm on a rather small SSD, I'm out of space and BF3 is taking some 16GB of it.

I wish to move the game directory from C to some other drive, but no matter what I do, it restarts the download in C/Program Files(x86)/Origin Games.

- I've tried changing the game install directory from Origin and deleting the stuff from C, then moving the files to say, E (same as the one chosen in Origin).
- Tried uninstalling Origin and reinstalling it from scratch.
- Tried removing the 2-3 registries related to Origin I could find.

Even after the registries and origin removal, it starts from scratch.

Heelpp!!

I think You could Delete The game everything (just not the eng language files. Then open origin--> open settings and then change the directory Of downloaded Games To what ever from C.Then download Battlefield again!
Or try this http://www.alexravenel.com/?p=54
but don't go to Wow6432Node\EA Games\Battlefield 3.
just
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\EA Games\Battlefield 3.
hope this helps

See if this works:
Copy/Move the the 'Battlefield 3' Folder to say E Drive as backup.

Uninstall Origin completely. Reinstall Origin on your drive of choice, eg E.

In origin Settings assign the folder where you'd like Origin games to be installed. Exit origin.

Copy the 'Battlefield 3' folder to that folder (origin games one).

Redo the Language change steps from the BF3 guide including running the language changer tool.

I did precisely this to start off with.

However it starts downloading and creating a new folder; Program Files (x86)/Origin Games/Battlefield 3.

It makes no sense to download to that folder if you have already set the download location to E drive folder.
