I play a lot of android games and want to buy some paid versions from play store. I am also a fan of f2p games and i would like to buy minor upgrades of 500rs 1000rs etc. I don't plan on using it for ebay amazon ali express. I just want it 4 play store and some in-game payments. Which debit card do u suggest?

P.s. i am a student, unemployed and don't habe any existing bank account.

Try MCB lite or UBL Wiz. Standard Chartered Debit works online too. But bit expensive.

MCB Lite is quite useless when it comes to reversed payments and refunds. CS is horrible. Now my account is locked and they won't let me access it because apparently there's no NIC number. I'd rather pay a transaction fee than deal with this POS.

I mean linking NIC is mandatory in almost all countries and specially in a country like Pakistan.....I am surprised they allowed you to open the bank but not use it.

Apparently, they have my CNIC but have "incomplete info" about me. In any case they're refusing to refund my funds without a written complaint. Happened twice before. Anytime a payment fails, it will be a big hassle to get your money back!

YOU have to write a written complaint to get YOUR money from the bank while THEY have incomplete info..

I had called them a few months ago asking them to raise my limit. They told me they couldn't do that because they had incomplete info. They said they had filed a complaint and they would follow up. Today, I lost my application pin and my account has been locked. I called them and first they told me an account in my CNIC doesn't exist. They eventually pulled up my account but told me they had incomplete information and that I would have to file a complaint. Apparently, I will get a call telling me what to do within three days.

They told me they have emailed/SMSes me a link to reset my application PIN. It has been one hour but nothing yet. When I asked them about my funds, they said they don't have them and I should go to a branch and file a dispute. When transactions fail or you get a refund you have to go to a branch (and good luck with that. Most of the time their Lite network is down.)

MCB lite is a very good service--3D secure, no foreign transaction fee and a convenient way to transfer money. But the CS is horrid. If I'm going to lose money on transactions that don't go through (or get them back after 20 emails and letters), I'd rather have a card that charges me 3.5%

MCB Sucks , I went to their branch in Defence, it looked like shit, smelled like shit ( it was just beside a cheap chai shop) and the employee where shit too, I went to deposit a cash in a friends account , there was only one counter working , the rest where off but there were people sitting inside,
One counter had to take care of 20+ people I asked why arent the other counter open they said they were on break, seriously 11 am in the morning , had to wait for an hour for my turn, turns out I was given the wrong deposit form and had to refill a different form, then why fuck did the guy at the desk gave me the previous deposit form when I told him I need to deposit in someones else account, had to wait another half an hour, and the guy didnt even apologize and was laughing for his mistake

I mean wtf is this my cards aggregate limit is on NIC means if i get a new wiz card I'd still have same limit :fp2:

U can easily open a jazz cash account and then transfer money from your bank to your jazzcash account in few minutes

So i'll be returning to Pakistan soon and want to know what bank would likely open a checking account for me. reading through the last 30 pages and it seems like none of the banks in Pakistan will be willing to open an account for someone with no proof of employment. i have bank accounts with multiple banks here in China (ICBC CCB and BOC) and would like to know if those could somehow be leveraged to open an account in any bank in Pakistan. if i can show then my bank statements from these accounts for the past 6 years what is the possibility of being rejected by all of them?

For a current account I don't think you'll need much of a proof. Heck you can also open a savings account if you can show them your decade old student card.

They said its impossible for a non resident to get a bank account in Pakistan. even though i had my NIC and student cards with me. they rejected the student card by saying its not a Pakistani University student card. Thats why i'm skeptical about being able to open one.

Don't go for SCB. You can get one in HBL, BAHL, and meezan
