Faysal Bank is the biggest member for both VISA and MasterCard currently in Pakistan doing the settlements.
Basically they are directly linked to them. So, simply said, in case something goes bad wtih a transaction they can sort it out easily.
Im using HBL and Faysal. Both never give me problems.

MCB is AWFUL! SCB and MCB are worlds apart.
Faysal Bank and SCB are the top banks for your card related needs.

hmm at the time i opened an account .. this was enough .. anyway you can take your father with you and they will be happy to open the account under the category "student with father support"

And guys I went to FAYSAL BANK , they just want me to provide my dad's salary slip and CNIC copy . But the bad news their visa debit cannot be used for online transactions

I have the option of opening a proper current account in Allied Bank by showing my unversity smart card , but its useless as their VISA wont work online.

And I was told that u need atleast 1160 rupees in your account to activate the card .. its the yearly fee .. later on they will have joining fee of 1000 aswell which is waived for mcb account holders .. for now there's no joining fee

i didnt need to go to the branch aswell .... just got off a 25 minute call with the representative .... got the card activated ... transaction/ATM pin registered .... guy told me to deposit atleast 1160 rupees within 24 hours ....
got the internet session activated indefinitely on the condition that no liability in case of misuse will be borne by MCB(hassle to activate it everytime IMHO)...
so ... when i asked for upgrade to LITE2 at first i was told that ill have to activate my unused MCB account(dormant ATM) to upgrade to LITE2 but later on the guy was told by a senior that i can do it ... maybe it was because i was in their database as an old customer but i dont know .. i havent used the bank's services since ages until this MCB LITE .... so LITE2 request will be fulfilled in 3 working days
okay now onto deposit ... transaction was super fast .... added beneficiary to SCB account (tried both my card number and my cell phone number and it added instantly with my name ... how awesome is that ... transferred 1410 to the account and the funds were instantly transferred to the MCB LITE wallet .... now gonna try buying power amp on google play .. ive been wanting to buy that app since a while but wanted to try it out on MCB LITE

The list uploaded by mcb on their website includes askari bank in IBFT . but why doesn't my askari bank show MCB there?

i have only one question...can we use MCB lite to buy region exclusive stuff on play store like say Nexus 5. of course a US based address is needed for that but can the purchase be cleared using this card?and MCB LITE WORKS ON Origin aswell @Pleasant
