So a friend of mine has his 3 year old Corsair HX1000i go bad on him. PC won't turn on with PSU. Since the psu is modular i have tried using cables from my AX1200i to check if one of his cable got damaged somehow but no difference.
Since its a very expensive PSU and out of warranty i thought maybe there is someone at least half competent in repairing PSU's whom i can have it checked to see if its a minor fault that can be repaired easily. I will of course won't entrust any of those matric fail illiterates in hafiz center to handle it unless i know for sure that person knows his way around psu's. I don't see any visible burn effect neither was their any smoke or smell coming from it as per the testimony of the owner. PSU fan also seems to spin fine when the pc is turned on but motherboard won't post, neither is able to boot into BIOS.
