Animal Shelter in Islamabad?

today I found a cat in my porch whose back legs are completely broken and uses its front legs to crawl around and is decaying to an extent.

Are there any proper animal shelters in Islamabad that I can drop it off to?It's too badly injured for me to do anything about.For now I gave it some milk,water and food but I just can't leave it like that to die.Any useful tips?

It's nice to know you are concerned, to say the least. Such a sad state the poor creature must be.

Well, I'd suggest you join a couple of pages on Facebook, like Pets on sale in Pakistan and Pets for sale in Pakistan. Describe the whole thing there and see if you get more meaningful tips or may as well get a person to fix it up.

For the time being, try and find a vet to drop it off to.

I would never have the guts to hurt an animal,killing is miles beyond the line.

It seems there really isn't much time, friend.

Just go and drop it off at some vet's in Islamabad.

There's Doctor Faisal in F8 and also a few other pet clinics in Islamabad where you could drop it.

No point experiencing the sight of a dead cat, who knows you might be able to earn it a few more years by NOT treating her wounds yourself and letting her die at your own place.

There is this page on Facebook called pfar( people for animal rights) their admin knows a lot of vets and people that work for animals. Contact them and tell them about the situation.

Its just hard killing something so innocent,but it had to be done.We called a vet and told him the current condition and he said ending its life is a better solution.So on his command I made it swallow powdered sleeping pills.Now once its asleep,it wont wake up.

Tragic. You did the right thing. Reminds of a kitten from my childhood who had somehow got its hind legs skinned and had maggots eating it away.

So many animals get struck with tremendous suffering such as this each day. It's downright disconcerting.

Although it doesn't happen to me too often, but that kinda filled up my eyes.

I understand, friend. Nevermind, case is over really. Just get rid of the cat now.

If it were upto me I would've dropped it off at some vet's and told him to do the job himself.

Don't exaclty fancy the sight of a dead cat.

PS: I love cats, and I do genuinely wish we had the right systems within the community to prevent this.
You did the right thing, Deadman. Don't feel bad about it. Arkonov was right, afterall.

Best case scenario..... Drop it off at a vet
Worst case scenario... Feed it n take care of it, if the situation is this bad, it hasnt got much time to live
