AoA guys,

Need a recommendation for a new Android phone. Budget is 1 lac, but sightly adjustable on the upper end if the deal is good enough.

Your input would be appreciated in this regard.

Thank you.

Galaxy S10 Lite

It has a Snapdragon 855, so in terms of performance and battery life, I reckon it'll be even better than the standard Exynos S10 that's available in Pakistan.

Can't think of anything better than that in this price range.

Thanks. What are your thoughts regarding OnePlus 7t?

I would've suggested that, but it's slightly harder to find, and OnePlus still being a relatively small company, tends to have shoddy manufacturing sometimes, so it's a bit of a gamble buying their phones.

One company in Pakistan (Rock Mobiles or something like that) is offering warranties on OnePlus devices, but in the case of a warranty claim, they're usually short on parts so your device will be stuck with them for ages, and if they don't have your exact device spec in stock, they will charge you a difference (of at least 20-30k) for a replacement device.

Being a smaller and sort of an enthusiast company, doesn't that give them better quality control? Or are issues with their devices commonplace?

Apparently not. The 7T has this display tint issue, something I've seen personally as well. Nasty green tint develops on the display, some have reported that it takes a few months, but for some it happened within a week or two of purchase.

You can read up about it on OnePlus Forums, Reddit and XDA.

Is there any phone that can last solid 2.5-3 years without having display issues ? My sisters Note 9 has developed amoled burn on notification area and navigation buttons, same happened note 8 before.

I also want to buy for my wife but this Samsung amoled burn issue is keeping me away from the brand this time. Same is the story with iphone X too many problems with display/battery. My budget is 100k also.
