[SOLVED] Android Phone Enginnering Mode! Need information, Help

Salam,

I need some help and information regarding the engineering mode in android phones.
Is it Possible that a Android phone don't have a stock recovery menu, no fast boot mode, no download mode?? if so thn how to access any kind of engineering mode? is there any other way? is it possible the phone manufacturer can restrict these modes??

It depends on the phone.

Some OEMs, like Sony for example, don't have stock Android recovery. However not having fastboot seems a bit far fetched. All phones have some method of flashing firmwares, whether stock or custom.

thanks for reply! Maybe you have seen my other post regarding Aquos Xx3, Im actually talked about this phone! its sharp branded by softbank japan

it has no recovery! no fast boot nothing in it! I can access debug mode in dev option! it also have a OEM unlock boot loader option there. If I use adb reboot recovery or adb fastboot recovery! the phone just reboot and dont enter in any mode!! I found an stock OTA but I cant flash it as nothing work!!

Possibly restricted by the OEM for that specific variant.

Have you tried any of the button combos?

Power + Vol Down or Power + Vol Up

Button Combo don't work! this combo works only on P1 model which is Global version. VPN method of getting OTA update also don't work on my model, cus it check the softbank sim card! is there any way to trick this sim check! ?? even there is no sim card in the phone! and its connected to a wifi! it always give sim card error for software update!

If there is a SIM Check on the phone then it's a carrier locked device and needs to be unlocked.

First, did you check to see if this works from SoftBank's own website: https://www.softbank.jp/en/mobile/support/usim/unlock_procedure/

Its a sim unlocked phone! I checked it before buying! I'm using my Zong data sim in it and also tested the calling too! 4g also work.
but for some reason it always give error for USIM when try to software update in settings.

this problem exist even outside PK.

It's like AT&T phones, you can only get software updates if there's a valid AT&T SIM card in it.

Unfortunately you run into these sort of issues with region specific models and there's not much you can do about it.

The reason why I ask you this, is because there are many shopkeepers use paid services (which come with their own devices) to write duplicate IMEI on phones to break carrier restrictions. There is kinda like buying a brand new IMEI, which could be for same phone as you have or a similar phone, or an entirely different phone. (Excuse me for not remembering the name of any device/service as it was long ago). This will also give you the USIM error even when the phone is working perfectly fine.

EDIT: Can you also confirm if the software installed on the phone has any carrier specific bloatware installed on it?

The imei.info confirms the model and brand. and yes it has many bloatware Japanese app installed. I dont think its software is tampered in anyway. Maybe Murtaza is right! I have seen other people on you tube and other forum which have the same issue! thy cant skip this check to get the updates. what more problematic is this phone dont have any recovery..

Yesterday I found we can access EDL mode on this phone by ADB reboot EDL, QPST also detect it on COM port! the only missing part from here is the Stock Firmware which QPST use.

Be very careful with QPST, one bad flash and you'll have an unrecoverable hard brick.

Besides, EDL mode requires a different kind of stock ROM than the normal ones that are fastboot flashable, so there's a very small chance you'll find one.

Is it possible take a full OS backup! Nandroid backup! of this stock phone.? without rooting or twrp!
