In an amazing turn of event, it seems that Microsoft started banning people who are using modified firmwares on their consoles to play illegal copies on xbox live! According to early rumors from IRC channels and xbox-scene.com's message board (which is being flooded with users as we speak), it seems that the banning started this morning.Banned consoles are unable to connect to xbl at all, and get that message! Microsoft's strike comes straight into the tradition of striking at critical moments during their release schedules, having done the same 2 years ago to hacked consoles during the launch of Halo2.

Only Xbox Live is getting banned for the moment.
