AMD has just officially launched AMD Ryzen 7 processors in an event today. Pre-orders for the processors will start from today (Feb 22, 6PM GMT) and will be shipping out from March 2nd. The top of the line (8 core 16 thread) processor, AMD R7 1800X will be available for $499, AMD R7 1700X will be available for $399 and AMD R7 1700 will be available for $329.

AMD gave us some further details including the final base and turbo clock speeds for the chips. R7 1800X boasts a base clock of 3.6 GHz and Turbo clock of 4.0 GHz with a 95 watts TDP, R7 1700X boasts a base clock of 3.4 GHz and a Turbo clock of 3.8 GHz with a 95 watts TDP, and finally, the R7 1700 has a base clock speed of 3.0 GHz and boosts up to 3.7 GHz (Yup, 700 MHz turbo) and that's not the only thing, it has a TDP of 65 watts which is very impressive and makes it the only 8C/16T chip in the market with a TDP this low.

AMD also showed off Cinebench and Handbrake scores. In Cinebench, R7 1800X scored 1619 in multi-thread in comparison to 1474 of Intel's core i7 6900K. In single thread, both 1800X and 6900K scored 162.

this is really perfect ... i dont expect intel to drop their prices as low as AMD but it will be really hard thing for them to sell their $h*t at this price
now lets hope we dont discover any "unknown" thing ... which might affect teh early adopters
2017 will be really good for tech world over all ...

Intel is about to get rekt by AyyMD mayyte...yaysies!!!
About bloody time as well. Though I have a sneaking suspicion that Intel has something up it's sleeve.
That's okay though...we really need the competition.

I really wish I could've held out a bit longer to buy Ryzen...

Skylake-E will change things f Intel doesn't play all greedy
And if Intel.drops $50 to $90 on 7700k n 6800k ... RX1700x n 1699x will have tough time to win price wars
Let's see how Intel responds to RX1800x ...
But Intel will be too late by then, it's almost 8-9 months or even more for Ryzen ... Perfect time to breakaway from Intel 😂

Well For Us Ryzen Played Very Well To Get Beast Performance Withing Our Budget, But For Intel Now It's Time To Give Up An Era Of Kingdom Ruling Performance.

Thumbs Up For AMD(y)(y)

High core processors from AMD in an era when games have started taking advantage of more than 4 cores. Their inexpensive 8 core processors will substantially improve gaming performance and are extremely cheap as well. Best thing is that all the processors are overclockable, and the motherboards that support overclocking aren't expensive either.

I am eyeing a 1600X for myself, which is 6c/12t. It hasn't been officially announced yet, but I hope it releases within 2-3 weeks of the release of 1800X, 1700X and 1700.

The next few years will be exciting for processor enthusiasts because of the competition :D The speeds were stagnated for quite a long time (6 years I think?).

Excellent News. AMd come smart this time. From the performance figures and the price, it seems the fantasy of real competition has been ended. Finally, we have the competition in the market.
In parallel, AMD's Vega will launch soon and dual flap of competition will probably break the monopoly condition. Looking forward to the Reviews.

I Believe, R5 1600X or 1400X is a perfect spot for me. Either of them will do the need. Its overclocking that'd make more fun out of them
