When I checked the Fedex list of banned items to Pakistan, silicon based sex toy (fleshlight) does not appear on ths list.

Furthermore, why would they send me a letter to come clear it from international mail office if it is banned and they won't give it to me anyway. Are they going to create legal problems for me or something?

Please let me know as now I am quite worried about this whole situation.

I am also thinking about just letting it go, and if someone shows up later, tell them I never received a notice from them.

The list i mentioned, the link for it was found in this very thread, and is specific to Pakistan. I also found a Fedex list specifically for Pakistan which is: https://crossborder.fedex.com/us/assets/prohibited-restricted/pakistan/index.shtml

Of course you are right that even if it isn't banned, the customs people can make their own rules and do whatever they want.

My question to you is that when I go to their office, and they give me trouble or threaten me in some way, what are my options? Can I just tell them to destroy or send back the item, and walk out?

What if they take some kind of legal proceedings against me? On the notice that they sent me (and I think this is just the general notice that everyone gets and is not specific to me), they say that any item left unclaimed for 20 days they can start legal proceedings under the customs act against the recipient.

Any advice or thoughts?

The Notice is generic and sent to every shipment held in customs, let me point here is that they have already opened the parcel and know whats inside. Thats why they have sent notice instead of shipment. They can't do anything except disposing off parcel. Give them a visit and face the situation. how old are you btw?

While that law is specifc to 'sale and distribution' of obscene material, who knows how the customs people will interpret that.

So, in your opinion I should just ignore the notice and write off the item? =)

If i were you i would have visited their office and talk about it, As said earlier the highest they can do is give 10 minutes lecture on how unethical it is or destroy the product. At least you will learn that you can or can't import such thing. By not going to custom office you gain nothing.

Hey there, customs dont bother with legal proceedings and shit. They will just say yes or no or a lecture bout why its against the law.


But, next time. Get them from underground sources in the city, plenty of places selling this stuff.

My phone cover didn't arrived either it was in ordinary shipping, ive lost more than 5 items in ordinary shipping but luckily never lost a registered ones so i just order in registered shipping now.

If the seller is sending just the processor chip, then the chances of you getting charges get extremely low. If it has standard box packaging, then it could be anywhere around 3-4k.
