Have you even heard of cards like X1950 PRO/XT, X850XTPE, 7800GS, 7950 GT.. And they are all AGP.

1650 is not even a midrange card...Its an entry level card..

This is about as good an offer i could find for an AGP card at pakgamers. I am pretty sure he still has it. Try contacting him and i would suggest an offer of approximately 5000 Rupees.

The 6800GT and 6800Ultra are also considerable options at pakgamers but to the best of my understanding, they have been sold out. Also, if you can get 7600GT, which someone was selling a while back, then thats your best shot.

So for me 2600 pro would be ideal NEW or USED or even 2400, as I want it to work for some more yrs because its DX 10 & SM 4.
Did AGP these versions ever came here? I dearly want it from anywhere.
My second choice would be USED 7600 GT>USED x1650pro>NEW x1650pro. But what do u think how much their life is left ?

yeah its dx10 and sm4 but u can't play any dx10 or even dx9 games with full or even half glory on it....so whts the use???

tell us wht is ur main purpose of buying the gpu, gaming?? watching HD movies??? or wht???

I dont think any 2xxx series AGP cards saw any dawn here, and to my knowledge 8 series AGP were never made so, your best hope is to get either 7 series or 1xxx series GPU.

And as mentioned above, the DX10 support is useless with such cards.

7600gt would be your best shot, the moderator here at Market-place was selling his MSI 7600gt, might want to check with him if he still has it.

Or if you want longevity for your investment in the AGP then get someone to bring or ship you a 3xxx Radeon from abroad. Yup, those are made.

ull have trouble running even some older DX9 games at medium settings

If you really want longetivity with an AGP a 7900GS is the only thing for you.

I recommend just buying a PCI-Express motherboard. They are cheap ... 3,300rs these days. Get one .. get a good PCI-Express card.

You will save money.

My friend I clearly said that these 2xxx series Radeon AGP cards never came here. You might have to wait for this, and no can tell how long. May be when Galaxy sells their stock of 1650pro they think of bringing 2600 or something.

2600 came and got finished...what someone needs to do now is for people who really want to go the agp way go for a ati 3850 they are the last most powerful agp cards to date....yes ati has built em in agp but then again nothing decent is available here in agp....

Actually this card would be for my old PC and has to be less than 6k, as currently im into a good new one. A new mobo+PCIe card, without a doubt, would be a good soln had not i have a 478 P4.
So I want the old one to last for 3yrs as i want to play multiplayer with new one.

bcoz u have an older processor in ur rig ull need to chnge it along with a PCI-E MOBO
Go for the best possible AGP card u can get :wink2:
